I can't believe I own the Gimli statue and never noticed that he had a lothlorien cloak on.

I really didn't want to get into another line of LOTR but with Lurtz and this Frodo tease, I'll be very happy spending my money on this line. I especially love the detailed bases. It really adds a lot to the overall piece.

Here's to hoping the next PF will be a Faramir ranger or a Saruman with staff.

Its funny that that this PF is only going to 12 inches. Just so used to the "big" stuff. Even the box will be small, but it does look good so far.

Alright here's my 2 cents....I believe their will be an exclusive and also Priority Preorderring avain next week...guessin Friday as all the others. If you really want to hear all the details of this statue, then listen to the Podcast. Its long and has alot of information on alot of different products....

Here's a test: Go to Sideshow's website and log in to your newsletter account. Below the list of weekly newsletters, you will see a list of "Newsletter Alerts."

So far, every single time that Sideshow has done a Priority Preorder for an item, they have released one of these "alert" newsletters the Wednesday before the sale begins. If we don't get one of these newsflashes for Frodo on Wednesday, it will be a regular order.

This flash e-mail has always followed the initial preview image in the previous week's newsletter, which in each case always included an announcement of the Priority Preorder, with a time listed telling when the item would be on sale exclusively to newsletter subscribers. Hulk's preview did not list him as a Priority Preorder sale item, and he started selling on Thursday. The Venom bust was not listed as Priority Preorder item, and it started selling on Thursday. Etc.

Sideshow as set up a system for how they do the Priority Preorders, and I really doubt that they will deviate from it. Frodo's preview did not include this announcement, so I am expecting him to go on sale next Thursday night when the newsletter is released, following the pattern they have established.

Personally, I think the reason they are not doing a PP for Frodo is because there is no exclusive, and everybody who wants him will be able to get the TBD regular version. PP is for limited items that they know will sell out fast and be impossible for everybody to get who wants it. They apparently don't see Frodo as such an item, and want this central character to be readily available to all. That's my guess...

I'm surprised with people's response with the release of PF Frodo.
Seem like there are GREAT Demand for this statue. even more so than Lurtz...
I see some people are Photoshoping preview shots, banners...etc.. etc...
The true Sideshow Freaks....

I just hope Sideshow can still keep the Edition size low...

I'm not at all suprised by the demand for Frodo. He is the Ringbearer and you can't have a line of figures from this movie without him.

Saw a picture in the newsstand issue of Lee's or Tomarts today that had the full photo of Frodo. I didn't buy it(broke) and couldn't scan it if I did. The shot was of the full figure, but from a bit of a profile. The first thing that came to mind was the full size Pippin statue. The face has a good likeness, but something was just amiss, but it could be the size of the photo or the direction from which it was taken. The base looked really cool, and the dwarf corpse helmet is right by Frodo's feet, which have painted on hair, Mikey! The base is circular, and has a plaque similar to Lurtz, but this base seemed more golden and less red. Sorry I didn't pick it up! Maybe someone has photos now online!

Well no Wednesday alert newsletter for preordering Frodo. So I guess he's going on sale with the newletter Thursday/Friday morning. As far as an exclusive, the Hulk/Spidey dio. had an exclusive version and that preordered with the newsletter. All this means is we get to order Frodo one day earlier.
