ive got a full size vader costume, i wear it for the odd event,it goes down very very well with young and old, even 'less desirable' persons comment on its coolness,so if its stupid and silly ive yet to be told it by the general public, including thugs and hoodies

I stand corrected then.

I'll be buying this right after I buy the Cinemaquette Aragorn.....a steal at only $2700!!

When I saw the pic of the whole set, I thought it was funny the way this is displayed. The way the helmet is just resting on the suit gives the effect of it having no neck at all. It just looks very comical.

Seriously, they're neat (if totally kitsch) items... but they should be about 10% of what the asking price is. SWS and whoever the Japanese licensee is are smoking the worst street crack on this one.

It's not kitsch. The scaled armor thing is a legitmate traditional type of artwork, and the company is an *extremely* respected and long-standing company. These are not mass or factory produced...that knotwork is done by hand. May not be your cup of tea, but the price directly corresponds to the labor involved and the fact that the folks working on it are craftspeople, not contract labor.

I take no issue with someone rejecting it because it isn't worth the asking price, but the price wasn't set by someone on drugs...there's a reason for it.
