Hi, guys-

I got the bill this afternoon and just submitted our deposit of $37.50. The seller says it will take 6 weeks or so.

I will PM you all now with my PayPal address.

Thanks again Star Puffs, You rock. :rock

NOw I can't wait for these Hofners as the size is much closer to actual scale. I always felt b/c MY Paul had a larger Guitar the display would be off, but now a little thing like that makes all the difference.

Now our Sets will rock hard, gonna be cool.

Funds coming Star Puffs and yes, let us know how the balance will work out.

I got this reply today from unclefat:

That's no problem to bill individually and send out individually. Please notice that if send to one address, the freight would be much cheaper. If you prefer to send to individually, there would be $5.65 / shipping address for the USPS priority service charge. and please also supply all other buyer's e-mail to me, in order to bill individually before my shipment come in.

As soon as everyone pays (2 remain) I will send all of the email addresses.

So we're talking mid September, that's not too far off.

Just a few questions after reading this thread- where is everyone getting their instruments from? I've read the thread but have no idea who most people are referring to.

Also, what about drum kits? Anyone make a 1/6 scale kit?

Sean

ebay seller asselerate sells the drums, that's where many of us got ours but I think he's inactive now but you may want to try contacting him.

Guitars, check unclefat for john's rick and store-rooms for George's gretsch. Hopefully unclefat will be able to get more hofner's after our batch comes in.

Drums: yeah that "asselerate" eBay ID is inactive. Were his drums the same as these?

Guitars: who is unclefat? How can I contact him? For george's Gretsch as you referring to this one?

Also, is someone making clothing?

Thanks!

Sean

Drums: Checked both spellings you gave for asellerate but both are not registered eBay users. Is there a way to contact this guy?

I don't mind the logo, I can make my own, I'm just wondering if the drum kits themselves are the same quality.

Also, I see Artstudio35's website has a similar looking drum kit. Is it the same as this kit, posted earlier in this thread?

Just looking for the best quality drum kit.

Suits: Looked in that thread, can't seem to find the suits credited to Spenser (unless they are the black ones, but I thought someone said they got those from MiniBarbie, but I sent Spenser a PM about the heads, hopefully he'll get back to me).

Thanks!

Sean

artstudio seems to have the same kit I have. the other looks similar although the bass drum logo is kind of lame.

suits. the page I linked has a pic of paul with a spenser suit. pm him, his mom makes them. set of 4 is $180 and well worth it. I did minibarbie modded suits, they came out okay, but I recommend spenser suits.

Check out this drum set on Amazon:

https://www.amazon.com/Ringo-Starr-Beatles-Miniature-Drum/dp/B001AQGD9K

It's a bit cheaper. If you need a 60s Beatles Logo, I posted one from a 60s photo from Music City the company that supplied the Ludwig drum sets to Ringo--- the photo is supposedly from one of the sets Ringo got and used after he dumped his Premier set. I touched up the Logo a bit. You can find that and some pearl grey drum skins I posted on page 2 of this thread.

Just print the photo out so it fits the bass drum size. If you've got photo editing software you can get rid of the Music City Logo at the top and you'll have the Sullivan era drum set up to 1966.

For a Cavern era drum set, look for those same Ludwig drums but with bright yellow skins... Ringo got the Premier set because they looked like Ludwigs without the price. After the Beatles made good, he dumped the Premiers and purchased Ludwigs mostly because he liked the oyster pearl finish.

Post Beatles, Ringo recorded with a set of yellow skinned drums but those weren't Premiers... they were Ludwigs with bright yellow skins. Supposedly, he wanted that finish because they reminded him of his first kit...

And, if you want to see Uncle Fat's webstore:

https://musicandgift.com/index.html?lang=en-us&target=d45_03.html

He's got a lot more guitars and other stringed instruments. Some of them are close to 1/6.

So is that kit on Amazon essentially the same as all the others? It looks the same to me except for the logos on the kick drum, but I've never seen one in person. So far I've seen three different kits for Ringo in this thread that seem pretty much the same, but I am unsure if there is a difference in quality between them (aside from the logo) in person.
