Is that Dewback too heavy for the top of that (is the Dewy heavy?)?

And are those aquarium plants with Luke Bespin/Yoda?

Love the sand base for the troopers!

Thanks Puay,

Here is how I made the doorway dio:

swsqueakuels, yep they are just aquarium plants I had lying around and also some aquarium Mopani wood there is some bog wood in there too.

I used dried moss and Cork Bark for the "back wall".

I have the Dewy across both Detolfs so it speads the weight plus the only heavy part of the Dewy is the base and thats really not that heavy.

Hope you like!

What are the chances of Sideshow getting these back in stock, I wanted to use my reward points to get one for my Dewback just logged on and the damn things sold out!!

Mine's just arrived, damn hard to get a nice pose, it's a bit fiddly.

They had the "checking stock" tag on this and I kept refreshing the page for a day whilst at work and one eventually popped up. I grabbed it quick but then it went back to "checking stock" again. It may have been the last one, or one in a small batch they found.

If it's gone then it probably won't come back. Might be best off picking it up from Ebay.

I'll say very low chances of this figure coming back.
If SS still have this figure it's well hidden on their warehouse and in extremely low number.
Imo if they come back it'll be as an express update or distress/discount product.
I will suggest go to any of the big internet business and try to find him asap before it continues to go up; that's for a mint one.
Also this forum or other fan community "for sale" section.
If you don't mind open ones then wait for the best deals they always pop up somewhere but you got to be fast.

If you're in the US you can still get him here:
https://www.gohastings.com/product/TRENDS/Star-Wars-Sandtrooper-Deluxe-F/sku/284314767.uts

But be warned: Go Hastings is notorious for doing a piss-poor job at packing their shipments, meaning the figure's box arrives beat to hell. They have also been known to send out previously displayed figures that were manhandled and have accessories missing. And since they are a brick and mortar store, their boxes have shelf wear and have also been manhandled. So if you are willing to take the risk, or don't mind a beat up box (almost guaranteed), then give them a shot.

I just ordered a 1/6 Greedo from GoHastings and everything arrived in great condition. But I also heard people getting banged up boxes. My package was packaged rather well. I say go for it because I don't see any other retailers like BBTS and Brian Toys selling the sandtrooper.

Did any of you fellas glue the chest plate at the sides? I think it would look a little better wrapped a bit tighter.

I've never really moded a figure before because I usually can't be bothered taking it all apart but this one seems like it could be an easy fix.

Dude. DON'T glue it. Take a cup of water and bring it to a slight boil. Dip the chest piece in for 20 seconds or less. Take it out of water. Take the sides and squeeze them in with your fingers and allow to cool while holding desired look. It works like a charm.

Someone told me to do that with the Superman base too. Seems hot water is the way of the modder!

A hair dryer works best for the Superman base. However, yes heat is the "way of a modder"! Good luck with your mods:hi5:

Use the hair dryer, you can control the way the armor heats up better, I did this for 3 Stormtroopers and 3 Sandtroopers and worked perfectly on each one

Does anyone know how to open up the backpack to get at the magnet? Mine toppled over backwards and the magnet inside came undone so the magnet feature doesn't work anymore. I had just opened him too. :(

Oh that sucks :slap

I agree the Magnet should be a little stronger. He is a really fiddly figure, it took me ages to get him right whilst playing a mini game of Jenga with his weapons and back back.

If you find out, please share. Mine did the same exact thing and I have tried multiple times to slowly pry it open so I could fix the magnet. Something inside there is fighting me until the end.

I finally bought a spare and use it on my figure. The one with the loose magnet sits on my desk and taunts me to this day. :nana:

For sure.

One of these days I'll take a look at it and see what I can do with some prying.

aw hell, take a scapel to it.........remove magnet.......re-glue it........repaint the seam..........easy............:yess:

That might actually be the best way to do it. Prying can lead to uncontrolled breakage.

I used a hot glue gun to glue all the Sandtroopers backpacks. Works easy and is removable anytime.

I've got to try this tonite... Already had to repair the backpack straps and the shoulder pack strap as well.
