Hell yeah!

Can't wait to see him next to the diecast mark 6.

I think the mark 3 is still going to be my favorite, but this one will definitely be a close second.

And I wouldn't know how to rate my favorite tandem. I mean, the 45 is my favorite iron man armor so far, but the mark 2, while really nice, is probably my least favorite. And as much as I like the mark 3 and mark 46, the mark 1 and 6 are just about on the same level.

I'm just glad I don't have to limit myself to only one pair lol. I don't think I'd be able to make that choice.

It's funny because I always assumed Whiplash was much bigger than IM and WM. It wasn't until this topic came up when DC Whiplash Mk2 released where people said otherwise. Watched it again recently paying careful attention, and wouldn't you know it, he's really not bigger. I don't know if that was the same case for everyone else but I thought it was interesting how my brain automatically assumed he was much bigger than them.

I totally agree. I had the same misconception, and I've seen the movie numerous times.

Would you guys say the proportions are just about the same with the original version? Either that or they're very close. The only other differences I could see are the obvious diecast parts as well as the correct decals.

Awesome articulation! Can't wait to have this. SO glad i chose not to get the old version on ebay that one time, especially after hearing about that stomach problem. I wish i had gotten that special black and white version though.

Very impressive! articulation on this is amazing. :yess: This is the a whole new level of engineering. :clap

Really need to decide between this guy and the Mark 3.0... this guy looks absolutely amazing but I know so will the CW version (and right now I only want the one)

Simple. Get the MkI now. The MkIII isn't released until next year. Decide on the MkIII when the time comes.

Me too. Full respect to all who have the original, and hope you all continue to enjoy it, but this one really seems like an upgrade. He's a little oversized in my opinion (compared to other slightly older HT figures), but for Iron Man, I'm pretty much just going to have/keep this and the new DC Mark 6. I'm assuming the DC Mark 6 is in scale with this, so it'll be an awesome pair!

Just pre ordered this figure! Wow...75% heavier than even the mark 42/43. That's a lot of diecast. And so so many battle damaged parts. This one seems to be an instant classic.

He still cant put both arms straight forward with the arms at both sides, thats a let down for me.

True. I'm not too fussed about it though. I rarely pose my figures with both arms facing straight forward.

Is the scale on this new WM off? I saw a pic from someone in HK (cant find it anymore) showing a side by side comparison of the new WM against the diecast IM MK3, and it makes the Mk3 look tiny! The feet looked absolutely massive, and it was quite a bit taller too.

So is the new WM just scaled larger, or was the IM Mk3 too small?!?

The mk3 is just a smaller suit. It's supposed to be. War machine has a bunch of add ons that make it much larger. The mk3 was designed to be smaller(more accurately all the subsequent suits where designed to be larger). The scales not off, they are just different sized suits.

If my local retailers eta's are accurate, and normally they are (fairly) then this and the Mark III will be arriving about a month apart... still I think this will be the sole figure for me, I'm not that insistent of keeping everything from the same film and he will match the I'M MkVI I plan to swap for the Mk43 I currently have with my Avengers.

I love my MK3 and I have him posed beside the MKII WM. The scale looks amazing with those two figures. I'm curious how big the new Mark 1 is next to the Mark 2 and 3 war machines.

I completely agree with the fact that the MK3 is supposed to be very small as a suit. The initial suit up scene shows just how minimal the armour actually is...and I love that about it. Conversely, the War Machine MKI is the bulkiest suit (excluding some of the house party protocol suits)...and I like that about the WM. I wouldn't not buy a suit just because of proportions. You won't be posing them side by side like that I doubt....these are 2 stellar suits and I'll be very happy to have both.
