Good pics everyone...

About the height issue..

It may seem strange they are bigger/taller and whomever said they are listed at the same height is correct. Most places do that. But they usually list all the major suits for each character at the same height. But it shouldn't be expected that all the different suits are the same height. Outside of like 4/6 and 42/43 type situations. This war machine is the mk2 with a bunch of added on parts. Thrusters and weapons and armor and so on. The mk2/3 suit was the very first, with much less stuff on it. That is often represented in film as being smaller in some way. To visually bring home how much better the next thing is. Then they usually "clean-up" or streamline the next gen after that to show advancements. The Nolan suits did it in batman. Robocop did it. And so on.

I'm not saying it's good or bad or that the mk3 should be smaller. That's all individuals preference as far as how much you like it, or agree with it. Just that it's accurate and common. Everything hot toys does is on purpose. Like the ankle articulation on the mk3. The lack was a design choice of the suit, one hot toys felt bound to follow. Look at the exposed boot on the Tony figure and you can see that the suit was designed to not have it. You can see in the film when he walks in them after the test flight that they have no movement. Like it or don't, it's still accurate. And it's hard to blame a company whose entire product line is based on film accuracy for accurately producing something.

Also consider that they have the actual 3D models used by legacy (Stan Winston studio back then) and ILM.

It goes to show that this is the definitive War Machine to own...

I wonder if this will sellout quickly....

Not the best pictures but I just wanted to show the size comparison to a few others. This thing is heavy as hell and super detailed, feels like an actual tank of a figure!

Looks fantastic!!

I was going back and forth on whether or not to preorder this.. I'm glad I stuck with it (especially since we're getting a diecast 6).

Now all I want from hot toys are the rest of the house party armors, an ultimate ultron, and a diecast mk 7.

I find the eyes aren't as bright during the day. Getting a photo where they're both really bright is a challenge. The cap on the head is really tough to get off, maybe it's just mine though. I still really like the MkII but this makes him look super slim.

Great photos! Have time for a few questions?

1. How much of the figure would you say is diecast? It must be significant given how much Budget Stark said he weighs, but it'd be good to know we're not getting a $360 plastic figure.

2. How do the interchangeable parts work? Are they easy to remove, while staying secure once attached? Some past figures have either suffered from parts that are near-impossible to get removed, or parts that fall of (like chest plates) if you so much as look at the figure.

Thanks!

Love the pictures Yoshi!

I'm also actually a huge fan of the Mark 2 WM but had to get that tank War Machine. I think this is a stand out figure and I have no problem shelling out money for something that looks so good and so well made.

You know what I find a tiny bit weird.. The shoulder missile pods were never actually used in the movie right? I don't remember seeing them.. But the figure has them. But on the patriot armor (and its repaints) they only give him the one forearm gun when we know both arms have them. I wish they gave both arms the guns.

Just seems a little weird.
