I wonder if BC will have the money to produce the 6th Doctor's colourful outfit, I imagine a printed fabric with that many colours and patterns or even different kinds of fabric (remembering the back has a tweed or wool patch) would cost a fortune to produce. I have a feeling we might get a blue one first.

No because the blue coat was never worn in the show. Six will have his rainbow coat. They will find a way to tailor it.

Agreed. When BC hits Six with a figure it will be the rainbow coat they produce him with. Especially having displayed it so prominently in The Name of the Doctor.

I'm not familiar with the blue coat. But in any case, I think the sales would be negligible for a 6 without the rainbow coat.

Not sure about that. Colin has a cult following as does Eight who only did one TV movie and would probably have to be very limited. For me, I'd rather have Six than Seven. McCoy just doesn't do it for me.

And there's this. It's widely considered his secondary outfit, like the 11th Doctor has his longer coats. The blue never made it to the show but was used in comics and audio books and promos after his run finished.

I'm sure they'll try to keep him at the same price, even if he has to come with less accessories or something to make it work. Even being the "least popular" Doctor, he has plenty of fans, and plenty will buy him just to complete the set. I adore Colin Baker's Doctor. Mostly from Big Finish audios, where he's actually been given some decent material and mellowed the character.

As for how they do it, I suppose they could print the different fabrics on the same bit of cloth, but that could look very cheap and be hard to work out cutting the fabric and making it accurate.

When you break down the Sixth Doctor's coat, it is cut up into distinct panels, many of which I'd think you'd havre to cut just to make the coat. Some of the panels are made up of different types of cloth, but I think that could be "cheated" with printing kind of like they did the scarf.

It's the Doctor Who equivalent of the Star Wars Expanded Universe.

I think that all the actual doctors would sell quite well, upto a point. But the lower production runs of #10 and #4 would probably be the way to go. One thousand of each must be enough to make them a healthy return, so would 1000 each of #5, #6 and #7 sell out?

I'd be in for one Sig Ed each.

8 definitely has a cult following because of his Big Finish work, but I don't hear a lot of love for 6. He has got to be the least popular of all 11.

I think as an expansion or an accessory would be ok. But I doubt I would buy that look either.

I prefer the blue outfit, to be honest. The rainbow coat is too busy for me and I generally like blue. I replaced the colourful outfit with the blue one in my CO Doctors lineup, looks a million times better as it really stands out.
