Lookin at them pics... What's the complaint of the figure... I don't see anything wrong!!
i do like the sculpt and i do like the jersey and shoes and all the accessories, but i just don't like the body it comes with. in the first pics, it looked very cheap, in the better pics, it looked a bit better, BUT it still doesn't look like a human body. my biggest complain is just the shoulder/arm area which i've marked here with the red circles:
the shooting pose also demonstrates this, as the arm ends in on the height of his breast, but then there is still that space/area which goes more up to the shoulders. it just looks totally weird in my eyes.
i just don't like how this looks, as he would have another vest under the jersey. the whole shoulder-area is just too bulky and it pushes the jersey more up as it should have been.
and what i mean with the "vest" look under his jersey is this:
the other thing are the knees. with a figure which has many areas unhidden by its outfit, you would have expected, that they would invent something or sculpt those parts, that won't looking THAT much like joints. and seriously, when i look at those knees, it looks like i'm back in the year 2008, where all those bodies looked like that, and I've put some jerseys over a ht true type from that time, when they didn't have released and produced muscle bodies. it just looks cheap in my eyes and especially for that money we're paying nowadays for it.
and here just a quick ps, just to show what i mean:
the jersey should lay flat and smoth on the shoulders, and not be that high like in all other pictures, as the area on the shoulders is pushing the jersey just too high.
I think all the so called complaints about this figure is from the same guys who will gobble up anything HT from their mediocre to abysmal, and then straightup complain about anything EB
yeah sure
i'm not a huge hot toys fan, i do critisize them a lot, i love my enterbay figures that i have on my cabinet and i'm still thankful that eb are doing some stuff ht won't ever do. but i'm still totally dissappointed how this turned out, as i was interested in the mj line and maybe also in those other bulls players, but now, even the mj figure is a maybe.
so still crossing the fingers, that they will improve it as i really want a perfect looking mj figure and i'm sure eb can bring this to us. their headsculpt is the best looking headsculpt i've seen so far, it would be a shame, if they would fail on the body, when everything is near perfect.
