You can see the beard texturing pretty well in this shot too... I'm sure the colors will come out even more with the clear seal...

Totally, the reddish blonde wash really kicked in, I especially love all the colors and texturing in the beard, this pic really captures it for me.

I also want to commend Mikey for his full repaint, pictures do not do these works justice, you really have to see them in person or get Dave Myatt to shoot them to do them right.

Damn DA very very awesome work. Thats the most impressive Obi repaint ive seen thus far!

Thanks guys! Yeah, the beard is much more impressive in person... I must have layered about 5 different shades of paint to get it just right.

As for that ring on the side of his head... yeah, it's pretty noticeable now!!

I just want my figure. You guys are already repainting the head and I have yet to get mine. Most likely Qui-Gon will be here before Obi. Ah well. No problem. Beating that lava display is gonna be tough.

Let me just say, Andy, this Obi-Wan is the most beloved figure in my collection, and will always be my dearest Star Wars item ever.

Now I am truly a satisfied customer.....at least I will be when Plo's lightsaber color is fixed.

I would imagine that an artist as massively talented as Adam Hughes, would repaint it himself. (Although I could be wrong.)

I remember seeing a page of old star wars 1/6 customs that he did a while ago.

Oh, no doubt. I know Adam personally and have seen his collection and many of the statues and figures he's repainted. But he's been incredibly busy lately and color me even more impressed with his talent and time-management skills if he pulled this off.

Yep... The Adam Hughes. He also repainted Obi Wan, although you can't see it well from the lava pics. He is a massive talent, that Adam.

I like both your repaints Mikey and DA. Very very awesome jobs that really bring out the sculpt. My personal opinion is that it is impossible for sideshow to produce paintjobs as good as these for the price point, so its really nice that there are talented people who are willing and able to do such an excellent job without it costing people an arm and a leg.
