That's HT for ya. Do a half-asses sculpt because of demand, and expect top dollar.

Good to hear that it is not the final sculpt. I doubt that the final one will be neutral though.

This is the expression I'd love to see on him, and it seems to be a good match for the photoshopped pic as well.

I like the direction HT has taken with these extreme expressions. This, Harley Quinn. Haven't seen that since the Laughing Heath Ledger Joker. We need more of that.

Please add a /sarc tag to that. This new direction is HORRIBLE. They are ruining the debut figures of two key, fan-favorite characters with this crap. They seem to be expressing a very "zany" kind of Asian philosophy like the kind that produces those weird Japanese commercials, e.g. Mr. Sparkle from The Simpsons. They do not seem to be understanding that we don't like this kind of silly nonsense in America. This figure is a joke and I for one am not laughing.

This is alright if you're doing the 5th variation on a character like Heath Ledger Joker but not for figures which will probably never be made in these specific costumes again. Also fine as a second bonus head. But that's it. This technique turns these action figures into mere statues for all intents and purposes. There is no way to use them to express a significantly different pose or mood now.

Gotta say, although I agree that alternate heads really ought to be more prevalent than they are and they'd be particularly welcome here, I really do think this was the best way to go with these characters. The Doc with a boring neutral expression? That would be my 'alternate' head to display next to the figure, possibly never used.

Well I don't preorder Hot Toys anymore and with a July-Sep 2017 release estimate that should be plenty of time to find out if I can safely buy back into BTTF.

Anyone want to take a guess at why doc is $15 more than marty? If anything it seems to me it should be the other way around based on outfit/accessories.

$250 for Doc? Kinda nuts . . .

All these basic figures seem to be $250 right out of the gate now and all have a stupid "bonus" exclusive gimmick. I miss the days where you got a little bang for your buck with an alternate outfit or an extra head or something. Now you get a little stupid bonus thing as an incentive to order early. It's lame now. Good luck moving all these Hot Toys and Sideshow. They've priced so many people out of the game.

I'm just happy to see Doc is out. I liked the head when it was revealed, but now with the photoshop improvements, I do think it could look better. Those adjustments, especially around the eyebrows, are perfect.

It's nice that he's finally here. If they stop after Marty I, Delorean II, Marty II, Doc II and maybe the Delorean II, then that's more than I ever expected out of them. Not bad.
