Hehe, I like the optimistic turn in here.

The pessimism of most of this thread did at least play host to some great quoting sessions and humour.

Optimism is nice if you feel there's a chance it might not be completely in vain. A big enough deal is being made about this 'Alien day' so maybe, just maybe...

I'm holding onto a faint sliver of hope because of the HT catalog and 'Alien Day.' But if we don't see anything by then that sliver will be about gone.

It has already been revealed that we'll see Ripley on the 26th. In the Fox announcement. Not sure that we can expect more though. But Ripley is also the most important!

Yeah. Reminds me of people saying that the pipe bomb attached to the MMS238 T-800's base could mean Kyle Reese was being made too. Well, no sign of him.

Nevertheless, since they're revisiting Aliens at all, isn't at least Hicks a no-brainer? The potential for upgrade there is massive with a head that has Michael Biehn's likeness this time and working shoulder lamp and a light up motion tracker. Surely they noticed how highly demanded their old figure was on the aftermarket and the prices it was going for.

In my mind , yes. Hicks is a no brainer and a day 1 preorder for me. But Hot Toys used to be somewhat predictable and now you just never know what they're going to do with a certain line. But yes, Hicks would be an awesome surprise. Just like Reece would still be. I don't want to get excited about a figure from a company that has dashed my hopes many times in the last 14 years I've been collecting them.

Looking forward to seeing Ripley go up for preorder. Hopefully the Aliens Ripley and Powerloader come along soon as well.

I don't think they will. Instead, they will release her in an Iron Man suit, and call her Iron Man, and say she's from a Marvel movie.

We'll all know it's really Ripley inside, though.

Saw another Iron Man shown today....looking much the same as the other 54. Only the posting date of the thread told me it was a new figure.

They'll probably announce a 1/6 scale APC and the dropship too. I'm trying to be realistic here.

I'd buy a NECA Burke but I wouldn't pay a Hot Toys price tag for him.
