This is a HK event, right? so it's a bit optimistic to be going by your own local time zone and assuming they're doing the same. You *could* be correct, and I hope that you are because I've been waiting a while to see this (like all of you).

Exactly, it's 11:25pm in Tokyo right now, so the 26th is nearly over and we haven't heard anything about figures being revealed at that Toy Sapiens event they held there.

Someone had just posted a pic of two Ripley headsculpts side by side, the proto with real hair and another with sculpted hair. They said HT may have changed it to sculpted hair now.

True. For me at least if this is a true production piece the sculpted hair does look better. More ' in place ' as it were and not so wild.

I so want the real hair, but at this point I don't care. I just want them to release her. Now!
I'd say what looks more like Ripley on the sculpted hair one is not the hair, it's the longer face. Left one is too round.

Now that you mention it is the shape of the face more than the hair. They finally nailed Weaver's facial features just right.

I'm very aware of the time zones. You can call me overly optimistic, or you can call me a pompous american! However, In all seriousness, as huge as the asian market is for Hot Toys, THIS line and THIS figure(s) is surely targeted more toward this side of the world. No? I have full faith this time zone is the one that rings the 'end of the day' bell.

Silence from Toy Sapien can simply be a gag order so as not to ruin their marketing plan for the other side of the world. Nothing ruins the fun like leaked info 'early'. Old chang is probably rolling around naked in a tub of vasoline enjoying this suspense...

The eyes on the left look like DX eyes? Posable. That would make the sculpted hair a must I guess.

Now I'm sure. The final version is the head with sculpted hair. Her eyes are poseable. It would explains the strange pics I saw in the past showing Ripley looking upside.
