I'm wondering if they'll ever do ASH. One of the most interesting characters imo... with fold-back head to reveal internal neck 'organs', and an extra detached head with milk all over it, tubes hanging out... dead face hugger and steel inspection tools... I'd love it.

As far as I know, Ian Holm has never permitted his likeness to be used in such a manner. Presumably those Kenner ReAction repros wouldn't have required his permission for the basic figure sculpt (given their 'Ash' is so generic, or perhaps because it fell under original licensing deals for 'Alien'), but notably his actual image was not on any of the packaging.

It would be wonderful if Hot Toys could do the whole Nostromo crew, but I would assume it's highly unlikely - both due to rights issues, and (presumably) due to the varying commercial appeal of each character...

The entire crew came back as a voice cast for Alien: Isolation, except Holm. Maybe he was just busy, or not.

Yeah, it was good to see that he allowed his likeness to be used in that. The 'voice-a-like' did a good job though. Hopefully, one day we'll see more of the Nostromo crew in action figure form. Just hope we don't have to wait too long.

Didn't Holm give permission for the use of his likeness for LotR figures? Strange that he would object in the case of Alien.. A 1/6 Ash would be awesome.

Back in the days likeness rights weren't a part of the over all deal with the actor. By the time of LotR, it was.

Ian has a clause in his contract, special contract order 937 which states:

Priority One
Ensure likeness compensation percentage of minimum 75%
All other likenesses compensation secondary
Figures expendable
