Re: Hot Toys: Ellen Ripley - Alien (Updated with new prototype HS)

I don't wonder that at all. I assume it won't be the case. Safer that way.

When laziness to engage in the selection of persons, we can make one for two) Ripley and Star Wars 7 Rey

I wouldn't say either one is lifeless. But then again, they are lifeless because they are figures. :lol

Puff, ruined the figure for me. Now I see Rey instead of Ripley.

:gah:Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyy ????

Re: Hot Toys: Ellen Ripley - Alien (Updated with new prototype HS)

I'm not really seeing the big deal about these two looking alike. Some people have similar facial features. For whatever reason they decided to use the same mouth expression and that's all it is.

Re: Hot Toys: Ellen Ripley - Alien (Updated with new prototype HS)

Well my first reaction when I saw the production version of Rey on plastic enemies the other day was... "thats sigourney"

Can't be a coincidence.

These are most definitely NOT the same sculpt. I see how you've made it appear as though they are with the photoshop overlay, but they are not the same. Both pieces have the same facial expressions but if you look closely the eyes, nose and mouth are in fact different.

...and the fact that both don't look like their human versions at all but at the same time look like each other, proving the reuse of one mold, is just irrelevant, right.

The initial head sculpt (the one on the first page) looked 20 times better.

I'm not really seeing the big deal about these two looking alike. .

They could actually pass for Mother/Daughter, so im not sure why people are so shocked by the figure likeness.

Re: Hot Toys: Ellen Ripley - Alien (Updated with new prototype HS)

i'm not really seeing the big deal about anybody looking alike. all people have two eyes, a nose and a mouth. all HT headsculpts have them, too. perfect likeness everywhere.
