Always thought this was Kotto's foot -- half of him in foreground, half of him in back when camera racks to his top half. That's why Ripley reacts with such horror.

Doesn't look like Lambert's foot to me.

It's Lambert's foot, as Veronica Cartwright has spoken of her time strung up in a harness to get those shots (the Parker/Lambert death scene was one of the last shot at Pinewood, on B stage during October 1978).

Never occurred to me that it would be Lambert. Given the shot in the context of the film, it seemed like a severed Parker. I assumed Lambert was carried away to be cocooned like Dallas.

Thank god for the clarity of the internet. I'd love to know what Ridley Scott intended in his final decision to cut the scene the way he did, regardless of the behind the scenes confusion and multiple attempts on this scene. Veronica may have hung in a harness but she also didn't wear sneakers in the film at any time yet we are made to believe the Alien's tail is moving between "her" legs wearing sneakers.

I always saw that scene asa violation of her before death....but not an actually ****....
Dunno that make it pretty sick and terrible. I have a hard time thinking that's what they had in mind....

Then again a few years later we got tree **** pretty clearly in The Evil Dead.

Why would the Alien ****? Why only a woman? Why THAT woman? Seems like young boys came up with that idea, not the filmmakers.

1) "yes" from you doesn't prove anything, as you're not part of the filming team. until somebody of them says "nothing like that was intentional, you're all delusional", we all get what we get: alien leaves Lambert naked, with blood flowing over her legs, in a movie where everything is intentionally about **** and death, from facehugger to Ash to alien.

2) did i say anything like "your **** fantasy" to you? what the hell does this mean? and don't say "hey it's just a joke". it's a clear insult made in public towards a person.

the case is that you ignore movie events and behind the scene comments only because you don't like one of the ideas.

The whole film is about ***. Just look at Giger's designs.

The aliens have dicks for heads. The eggs were in a ship with suggestive female airlocks.

Kane gives 'birth' to the alien, so it's part male human. As a being of pure instinct it plays out something dark and evil from the male psyche.

As P. mentioned there was Ash suffocating Ripley with the rolled up magazine.

There's a lot going on in this film that takes it beyond a simple monster movie.
