Many of us are buying this figure no matter what, but the gif profile pic @RavenAsh has feels like subliminal messaging.

HAHA it definitely works pretty well for this piece.

On the Millie Bobby Brown complaints, I think those two just look a lot alike. SNL had Natalie do a Stranger Things skit as Eleven for this exact reason. But that's just how I see it, and that's the thing with head sculpts, it's always going to be personal preference.

Considering the alternative 2019 sculpt, and the sheer excitement I currently have, I just can't perceive a reality where I don't immediately pre-order this. It's not perfect, no question. But if this is what I'm going to get in hand I will be beyond thrilled. To me this is an easy 8.5-9/10 with some angles looking like a picture from behind the scenes. I think the hair detail is absolutely sublime. I think the outfit is pretty much spot on. And at 270, considering stuff like Cobb Vanth at 300 and Kenobi DX with that absolutely rough Ewan sculpt at 295, let alone the insane Marvel prices...I think this is an amazing deal.

But let's be honest...was I ever not going to order this? The main question is how many am I ordering

It still feels surreal to see this as a preorder product. I'm just so unabashedly happy right now.

Oh, I think we'll have to wait to see that version come from one of the talented customizers we have the pleasure of seeing on this board. The strong foundation for it is certainly provided by this figure.

I’m considering two so I can chop up one to create the damaged arena suit. I’m just conflicted on when and from where to order.

Sideshow are not an option for geographical reasons, I’m sick of being half a year behind on Hot Toys releases with KG as it basically kills all the enthusiasm for new figures having already seen the rest of the community go through all the stages months before mine arrive- especially when stuff gets discounted elsewhere before they even receive their stock, shipping domestic is just as slow but also costs £100 more, so maybe I’ll just wait till release and try to be quick snatching one from TBA? How soon after general release does Kit receive HT stock?

Finding parted out clothing or accessories is also difficult in the U.K. and is usually far more costly than just buying a whole figure, taking what you want and then parting out the leftovers yourself. I’ll probably be making money if I take that approach…
I just want that midriff and sliced up back on show!

Why not just pre-order through Kit? He doesn’t get extra HT stock, you’ve gotta hope for cancellations. But his price is the final price normally, the shipping and such is built into the price.

Yup this was going to be my suggestion at @Chopper Face as well. Kit gets HT now and puts them up for PO. And I believe the way his ships allows customers to not get hit with the import taxes international collectors tend to have to deal with.

As for part outs, have you tried Machine-Gun figures? They're in France I believe so maybe a bit closer and friendlier shipping wise for you? I've ordered from them before as well even though I'm in the US. Never had an issue ordering parts from them: MACHINEGUN - Figurines et Accessoires 1/6

Dunno 'bout the UK but lately in Ireland I'm paying customs on literally anything that comes from outside the EU no matter how small and no matter how low the declared value is. The post office warned me this would be the case but then a bunch of things came through without charges and I thought they must have had it wrong. However now it seems to have come into effect in the last couple of months. I've gotten charged for single NECA figures from BBTS and yesterday had to pay out on Hot Toys Loki coming from TBA in Hong Kong.

Having said that, sellers declaring low value does still help to reduce what I pay.

Just some comparisons I made based off some pictures from the original photoshoot. For me it’s definitely not a 10/10 based on the pictures we currently have, BUT there are some angles, and some placements of the eyes that have me extremely impressed. Especially that second comparison. Weirdly for me this is almost a sculpt that looks better the closer you get to it. A couple of the further away ones hide the likeness (like the fourth comparison, which I think looks off partly due to lighting and quality). But this is far and away immensely better than that 2019 con sculpt, and for that I’m thrilled. Maybe I’m easily pleased here, but my expectations have been far surpassed. Some of these shots are absolutely far better than I could have ever hoped for.
