Thank you for this post as your explanation makes a lot of sense. I wasn't offended but just didn't "get it" (and should probably just not respond to things I don't get going forward in order to not make them become a "thing" because even though I wrote that I appreciate the support in response here we are, you know?)
Of course.
No-one will mind if you ask for clarification on any point.
I often read posts on here that "sound" belligerent. Or that they are being nasty with their posts. But i doubt they are. I try and re-read a post to see if i can "hear it" in the nicest possible way. We are all collecting dolls, lol, so it only makes sense the majority of comments are meant in the nicest possible way.
It's always best to read it again, and if i still doesn't make sense, just ask the original poster what they meant.
I agree with your account of this suit. It's a lot more streamlined but it still gives a tough vibe in comparison to standard Iron Man armors. Did you keep or end up getting any other War Machine Armors? Also, having this do you think it's worth bothering to look for the patriot?
When Avengers Assemble came out, i ordered the MKVII, and then got the MKVII BD. Over the next few months, i built up an IM collection of 1 to 7, plus the BD MKVII, then got the OG War Machine, Midas, WM MKII, and Iron Patriot.
But when it was revealed in IM3 they had 42 armours... I got priced out of collecting them all, and only ever bought one more armour(The Classic Colour Scheme Sneaky). Since then, i have sold a few and only have two OG MKIII, MKIV, MKVI, MVII and MKVII BD left, and they are all up for sale. If each movie had two or three armours, i would have kept collecting them all. But as there were so many i wouldn't have, i kind of lost interest, and have concentrated on getting every version of Cap instead.
As an enthusiast, i'd say that if you like the WM MKII, Iron Patriot is a beautiful variant. Much like Hot Rod. They made for a beautiful pairing. I used to have mine standing side by side, both doing the salute pose. It all depends on whether you like the Stars and Stripes look on Iron Patriot.
