even if they did they wouldn't have been able to do it with the material they chose to use for the panties back then.

I suppose design of the suit itself by the movie makers plays a role rather than HT, in that regard..... I think even for Mk. 42, HT went back to flexible PVC pelvis.

Well this is screwy (probably a holiday-mood mistake, in Japan)... on HT JP... WM2 actually retails higher than IP or Mk. 42...

Well, at least I'm getting my copy at USD250-ish...

So tempted to get this to place side by side with Patriot displayed w/ Rhodey HS...looks nice!

The sliver needs to stand out more. It looks like it blends TOO well with the black. The original War Machine had the same but it's sliver stood out more compared to this one, even taking the lighting into consideration.

Big pass for this figure. I feel like HT won't hesitate to slap a $310 price tag on this as well.

Identical price to the Mark VII here in belgium, which is 250 euros.

Won't be the same here. Oversea prices are cheaper than here in the state, especially preorder prices. The Mark 42 PO price was $255 as well oversea. So it seems this will be $300ish in the states.

On the contrary, stuff is MORE expensive here. So far we always had a direct dollar / euro conversion rate, ignoring the exchange rates. We pay 250 euros when you need to pay 250 dolllars, while 250 euros actually is 300 dollars + :p

Point is though, expect this to be cheaper than the other Die Casts. Every time the shop I saw the price at lists a preorder price before SS, the SS price matches :p (allbeit a direct conversion)

Sorry to ask, but what benefit does diecast have over the plastic Iron Man of the past? I started collecting really late and might look into the diecast Iron Man in the future that I have missed or refused to pay ebay mark up prices. Is this just a test by Hot Toys to see if the consumers are still going to gobble it up and decide to scrap plastic iron mans from now on and go diecast?

I got a vendor at Frank and Son that is selling each Iron Man below Ebay prices that I am thinking about grabbing them unless the future diecast remake can convince me to skip plastic.
