03 Hulk was CGI jelly the whole time...

At times yes, but when his wound closed up after the cluster bombs he looked really good.

But overall yes, TIH Hulk was a much better look.

I'm thinking about making my own Hulk 03 and 08, maybe even Avengers Hulk, sculpts. All in true scale with one another. Probably 1/6. Then maybe make duplicate casts.

I honestly don't think the underlying story is what turned people off to Hulk 03, but more that he was fighting mutant dogs and David Banner was a strange and weak villain, plus some of the strange editing. The best parts of the movie are the deeper character parts and the military aspects. I think if they'd come up with better opponents for the dog and DB parts, it might have faired better. Also, a lot of people didn't like making Hulk like King Kong sized almost, and I agree, the 9 foot height 08 and Avengers stuck to is much better.

08 Hulk = Okay movie! (Norton fit the Banner image way better than Bana. Better actor too. However, the Abomination's design was crap and the CGI just didn't look real at all. At times, it reminded me of Roger Rabbit.)
12 TA Hulk = Finally got it right! Now give him his OWN movie!!!

Sam Elliot was indeed a perfect fit for Ross! I hoping one day he would reprise the role. Could you imagine him turning into Rulk?

I would get a figure of Bana Banner and Hulk if HT made them. Love that film.

I wouldn't get Banner, any Banner as he's just a bloke, nothing vusually exciting for a figure, i would get a Bana Hulk though.

I bet money that the arm thing is why this figure was delayed until June.

I am hoping they just go with a solid jointed arm actually, and not the rubber over the joint. what concerns me more then the rotting or cracking of the arm is the distinct issue with how color fades on soft rubber compared to hard plastic. Case in point the fading PINK PANTIES on the Iron Man figures....lol...seriously though.

There was a stylized look to the CGI characters in 2008, I don't know if it was low budget or what, but as cool as the Hulk's design was, it doesn't look like a real person in anything but a super tight close up.

I loved the score to the 08 movie, it's one of my favorite movie scores, I really like Norton as an actor and loved his work as Banner and the overall feel of the movie.

I loved the execution of Hulk in Avengers, I just haven't seen much of Ruffalo in movies, and especially not as Banner, to really form an opinion one way or another on him, though I didn't dislike him, so I'm fine with seeing him in more movies, would have liked Norton to keep going though.

Of all the movies, my ultimate Hulk movie case would be Norton as Banner, Sam Elliot as Ross and Jennifer Connely as Betty Ross, I thought they were all great in their respective roles. Live Tyler was an ok Betty, not bad, just not as good, I really didn't like Hurt as Ross though. I grew up watching the 90s Hulk cartoon and formed my vision of Ross from that and Elliot really brings it all, his voice, his attitude, even his look.

Despite how Abomination was handled, I did think Tim Roth gave a solid performance as Blonsky.

Want to see bad cgi, watch the rain scene after the 1st helicopter crash when Hulk is carrying an unconscious Betty, he lands/steps in a puddle and the puddle water doesn't even splash.

I wish they could've shown more of his strength in TIH, I think all he did was knock over a humvee.

Oh he will sell alright, and sell well either way. After all, we are all here because we buy this stuff, a lot, I might add.

We may spend hours critiquing it and all, but in the end we have all at some point or another accepted certain flaws, because they didn't take anything away from the Figure as a whole.

Now as far as what I was saying about Hulk's arms. Hell, I don't care if they are rubber or not, it's still HULK, and a bad *** figure either way.

I just was thinking they may have done some tests and realized the colors won't match well on the painted plastic compared to the painted rubber arms. We shall see either way come June. I am in either way...LOL...

Oh and on another note, people are still paying 400+ dollars for pink panty Iron Men, that originally went for 200.
Its like dating a super model. You are not going to break up with her because she has bad breath. You just give her a breath mint and call it a day. She is still beautiful to look at....LOL.

Maybe they came up with a new formula to make the rubber arms more resistant to rotting? I personally have no beef with the rubber arm approach. I just can't frickin wait for this figure to arrive. Btw, I've already gotten the base shape for '08 Hulk sculpted out. I only have him at 13-14" though.

Yes, you say this now, but wait until the arms start cracking or the paint fades. There are plenty of us that are not happy with the QC issues. I am tired of the pink panties on IM. Tired of watching My Watchman comedian rot, Uke instead of Luke, leaky DX02, DX12 box falling apart, star not aligned on my Captain America, cracking arms on Abigail Whistler. I decided not to buy the Iron Monger or Hulk, because I knew there will be issues. I do want to have a Hulk, but not at this price and watch the arms rot.

if you do not want to have material rot away you are best to stick with basic figures and away from this "adult collectors" stuff

outside of QC that happens regardless of company and materials these things its are just never going to last as long as you want them too. its the nature of using "real" materials over solid molded pieces and form over function.
