Dont just get whats cool. There are way too many "cool" items. Get what you have a personal connection with. For example, I only get super hero stuff because I grew up watching the cartoons, reading the books, and buying the toys. I grew up with those characters so now I get the fancy high end versions of them because of all the nostalgia. I think terminator stuff is awesome but I have no personal connection to it so I don't spend my money on it. Hopefully that makes sense...

These are the words I live by as far as collecting goes. I grew up reading X-Men comics in the early 80's, so....would I love to have that DX TDK Joker? Yup. Am I willing to sock away $$$ for that instead of a probable new HT Wolverine figure from the movie next year? Nope. Sometimes getting that one outlier figure can be a slippery slope.

That absolutely makes sense. Terminator obviously is the thing I have the more personal childhood connection with. There was a bit of superhero stuff aswell though. Hence why I'm considering Hulk, I've always had it in my mind that he'd be one to buy.

The other big 3 of the Avengers have also kinda been on my mind, but moreso since the film than any time going back to my childhood. They might come under the category of just 'cool' to me I dunno.

I can only dream of owning a SS LSF Wolverine and Doom.

I actually sold off my HT collection a while back. While I do not entirely regret it, I do miss some pieces.
That being said, I could not resist this figure. I love the Hulk. I just wish they would release some info, any info, as to what is up with the figure.

Is this what will start the addiction all over again? As I stare at my Detolfs with run of the mill collectibles, I fear it just may be.

The irony is, this guy will not even fit into the Detolf, at least I do not think it will.

Quick questions too for those who have dealt with both/either BBTS and Sideshow. I have the Hulk pre-ordered at both places but I am on the waiting list for Sideshow. If BBTS is still taking pre-orders does that mean they have not sold out their order yet? Also does the waiting list for Sideshow usually pan out? Any help is appreciated

I'd say "yes" to both questions; BBTS has 91 still available for pre-order at this point, so I think you can rest assured they'll come through. And Sideshow wait lists usually convert if it's a non-exclusive item - there will be lots of cancellations or CC declines to free up additional stock for anyone not yet locked in.
The BBTS price is the same as Sideshow's now, so I'd keep both orders. If Sideshow converts your wait list, you can always cancel the BBTS order with no penalty. Likewise, if BBTS sends you a shipping notice, you can cancel your Sideshow wait list prior to it converting with no loss of deposit.

I think the lack of info on this makes me think there's going to be another delay. What I'm hoping is that they'll announce Banner as a TF ex then release this soon after. A Banner po would boost sales of Hulk and vice versa.

the delay is loki is just getting out and mk7 is shortly on its way, they can only put so much out at a time, plus catwoman is coming and probably a couple others

I always wondered why HT doesn't usually capitalize on a movie's release. I love HTs but the wait is pretty harsh. Last year, MIB3 was out end of May, enterbay had J & K shipped by mid July. I wonder why there's such a discrepancy? I know about the wobbly knees on J. I have one! It would be amazing if HT reached that sweet spot of excellent qc & a more advantageous release window.

I'm starting to think Banner will be packed in with Hulk. Three reasons;
1. Delayed as well as no further images shown as of yet.
2. The Banner figure has been seen as a work in progress.
3. Hulk ONLY have an extra set of hands for accessories seems a bit light.

I honestly think it'd be pointless to sell Banner separately. Besides lacking in possible accessories... he really isn't anyone special. Him and Hulk go hand in hand. Unlike Phil Coulson, he isn't a character who needs to be sold separately.
