I don't get the argument :huh

The technology for a toy with no joints doesn't exist! What tech that does has proven elusive to make with any type of certainty that the outer coating will last.

HTs made this figure with only basic joints. I just don't see where the complaint is here.

That being said, if you wanted a figure with no joints, a statue would be your best bet. If you want a figure with no joints that moves, with today's tech, the coating likely would not last if you used the articulation and some would probably prematurely deteriorate.

...like Hellboy, Sarah Conner, DX 02...etc.

No to power pose, I do not want my Hulk with a plastic rod up his ***.:lol

Else we are just back to statues again.

If I came home and Hulk looked like this I'd probably punch somebody in the neck that I love and clearly didn't deserve it. LOL.......

I waitlisted this figure a while ago. The arm joints dont bother me at all really, even the hands I am ok with. For some reason the feet bother me, and the knees from peeking out under the shorts.

Will it make me cancel though? not sure.

You honestly think HT ( and most of 1/6 companies ) haven't evolved and improved?
I don't think he's referring to "evolving" in that sense. Sure they have improved over the years but I think he's pertaining to Hot Toys simply staying in their comfort zone because of the lack of competition from other companies, which is true. They have no need to innovate their products or step out of their comfort zone to try something new because of the lack of competition or pressure. They can safely keep doing what they are doing and they will continue to triumph the market by doing just that.

I hate to be the person to bring this up but this is pretty much like Apple vs Android, with Hot Toys being Apple. They innovate very slowly each year but they have been trying to do more than what they would have been doing in the past if it wasn't for Samsung and Android steeping into the market over the last couple of years.

Now if there was a "Android" in the market for Hot Toys, we would certainly see them trying to step up and do something new to be on top of the competition but as of now they can safely sit back in their chair and keep doing what they are without having to worry about anything.

Of course, whether or not Hot Toys trying new things is a good thing or bad, is up to us fellow collectors.

While I'm not against those who are against certain aspects of this figure, wanting features that are simply impossible to produce without another year of delay is quite silly. There is no way this figure can have no open seam or joints without the figure having wrinkles and problem all over it. This is the best it gets for a 1/6 scale Hulk.

Obviously, not everyone can agree on anything. But there are really onlu 6 exposed joints ( wrists, ankles and shoulders ). The neck and knees are mostly not noticeable, IMO.

I don't see what else they could have done to hide those 6 without using rubber.

Ones a bad pic of an old production head, the other is a professional pic of a hand painted PROTO head (which will look no where near as good when released). If you are going to do comparisons you should use like for like.

:dunno

I guess if the overall meaning of owning this piece is to complete your avengers set up, I say go for it.
As a stand alone piece though, I guess you'd just have to be a very big Hulk fan.

Not stepping out of their comfort zone? We are saying this in a thread dedicated to an 18" green monster that looks great. I don't recall hot toys doing many humanoid figures of this caliber. Completely new body. Some of you really need to think before commenting

interesting comment,

Are those who buy anything in 1/6 of Hot Toys, and others who demand figures, with KING LEONIDAS quality, enhanced by the development of new technologies.

The big problem is hot toys release anything, and Sold Out. So I doubt that will improve.

The development process of HOT TOYS is not going to evolve. Until there is a competitor, that drive new standards.

I am going to have to call you out on Leonidas. I owned that figure. And, he looked good in one or 2 basic poses. However, the "body suit" ... for lack of a better term ... SEVERELY limited his pose-ability. I wanted him to be in the shield up/ spear up pointing pose. The problem was that the suit limited the angle that the shoulder joints could be raised. Now, I have seen a few pics that look okay ... not what I wanted, but close. The problem is that the people are going directly against the instruction manual. Heck, I couldn't even raise his should joints high enough to do a sword over his head victory pose. That body is going to dry and tear. So, I displayed him in a very boring standing straight, holding spear/shield at his side pose. In the end, I sold him for fear of the body suit deteriorating over time. In my opinion, I would rather have a few exposed joints on Hulk that deal with the "time bomb" factor of silicone and it's fragile nature.

P.S. I own the STARS version of Chris Redfield - which also uses a body suit. I have had him in a chain gun at the waist pose since displaying him. There are already signs of deterioration in the suit. Luckily, the outfit covers those spots up.
