I am in the same boat as many of you. Not really modding stuff, this is a easy preventative step to guard against black marks on your Hulk. I am so glad and happy that I did remove them. Think of it not as a mod but an extra layer of protection. It really is simple. First thing I did was remove the snap and loosen the Velcro on the gray outer shorts. Then pop out the torso from the waistline and then gently tug at four areas that are glued in an area the torso use to cover. It is super simple and I am no longer worried that my figure will stain. You can still keep the shorts in a baggy and put them back in the box for anytime later if you or whoever wants to add them again.

I telling everyone that this is a huge relief to do this if you are worried about the staining issue at all.

I still believe that even if you never pose your Hulk in any sort of crouching stance that the upper thighs that are covered by these spandex type shorts will eventually stain.

The black spandex shorts are not damaged at all if removed correctly. All it would take is a few spots of glue to put them back the way they were. The torso itself if never moved might possibly keep them the way they were because the excess parts that are glued are actually underneath the torso anyway.

OK thanks for the reply scout. I may or may not remove sometime just hate even lookin at my figs funny I just pose and set and forget and admire. much alone fixing, only if i have to do fix.

I'm really the same but if you are concerned at all it really is super easy. I'm still keeping the spandex shorts in case I ever sell it or want to put them back on. They really are not damaged at all and the tiny area they are glued is never seen because of the location.

I understand you, but if you or anyone else is on the fence. I definitely was but am very happy that I didn't put it off any longer.

Have no idea. But once you put the shorts back on, it looks the same. They're so thin can't be use for padding.

I think at this point we could only speculate, but we do know that they do leave marks on the figure. Having said that, it seems to be a pick your poison. Almost certainty of stains verses speculation/unknown.

The spandex are for when he goes on a bike ride with Thor, the Tour de Asgard.

So I just took the blk undies off. It was a breeze. You are better off taking the upper portion out. I had a tiny bit of blk paint rub off but can't be seen with the pants. For sure if you leave the shorts on they will bleed through.

Sorry I am confused what would bleed through the undies or the shorts? Advise atm is to remove the black undies?

The blk dye from the undies will eventually stain The hulk torso area. I didn't find any stains on the shorts though.

Is anyone going to make a video or photo tutorial on how to remove the black spandex?
I don't want to attempt this without a step by step plan.

Just try pulling at them. One of my hulks was super easy. the other one would probably need the top half of hulk removed...

Not too concerned. You guys make it sound like the shorts will bleed through and stain the thighs and his butt. Well I am not planning on posing him without his shorts, so any black stains on his legs or butt will be covered up anyway. And I am not posing him in extreme hunching.

It's real ez. This was my first mod lol. Just pull put the upper torso off. To peel the blk undies that are glued on the inside abdominal area. Than take brown shorts off than blk underwear and you done. Than out everything back. It's really ez.

is that what the black undies do? man first thing I am doing is removing them then. I wonder if it would be worth replacing them with something that would not stain, there must be a reason why Hot Toys put them on.

I don't see why they are there to begin with. My only guess is to "hide" the hip joints under the gray shorts
