1/6 Hot Toys - MMS - Alien vs. Predator: Elder Predator Collectible Figure

At this scale and price point you only need one or two Predators to represent the license in a collection. You don’t need each character. I have seen displays with tons of HT Preds and to be honest it looks like a NECA display (just a bunch of toys) messy, untidy and affordable. My first HT was Berserker as that was the “new” and only available Predator at cost. Not my first choice as it did not look iconic but I made the purchase. I followed it up with Tracker. I displayed one masked the other unmasked. When they revealed Scar 2.0 I sold Tracker to make room. When they revealed Elder 2.0, I sold Berserker. Scar and Elder is all I need. I also purchase the Ancient head to display next to Scar.

Agreed, one or two is the way to go in today's market. Still waiting for my big two though, P1 & Wolf...

Love the poses of your Scar and Elder, suits both characters.

Unless, of course, you only collect predators. If so, the more, the merrier. Although I keep it to one (the alpha) predator from each film. Except AvPs.

Yeah, I only collect preds and aliens. Even with the wealth of merchandise for these franchises my collection can comfortably fit into two display cabinets...kinda sad, especially seeing some of the amazing predator collections I've seen on these threads.

**** ya, so excited for this, wish it would have been wolf, but this is awesome and I really like the look of it, the dred color is perfect! I'm so happy hot toys isn't making 1/4 scale preds, nothing would piss me off more then hot toys finally making a decent wolf figure and making him in 1/4 scale instead of 1/6. This is an instant buy for me, now please make 1/6 wolf.

I doubt the dreads look that good on final product. On the P2 elder proto they looked like that, but the ones it shipped with don't look so good

My thoughts exactly. I'd still like to have a 1/4 P1 and Dutch more than anything else (either in the form of maquettes or HT figures). CH and the P2 Elder are all I need in 1/6. Hell, if something bigger and better comes along for them, I might even replace them.

I really like what hot toys has done with this figure and I have been waiting on it for a long time and can't wait to finally get this, but there are always things I like and don't like about hot toys figures. After looking at all the photos and video of this I think the thing that bothers me the most about this one is that the chain that holds the cape on is meant to be farther apart and it is kind of a choker. The other differences from the movie don't bother me, I actually kind of prefer what hot toys has done to the exact movie version, the bio helmet looks perfect and matches my sideshow life size version exactly(but with better lenses of course) so that's cool and all the trophies and tattoos and sculpt, dreads, etc... All look great to me, so I guess my one complaint is the that the cape should be spread farther out on the shoulders but otherwise this guy looks awesome and will be a welcome edition to my collection.

I gotta rant a little more about the cape issue as it really does bother me, you can see in these pics how the cape in the movie hangs from the outer shoulders making him seem huge and imposing, as opposed to how hot toys made the cape mounted around the neck like a choke chain making him seem smaller and less imposing in my opinion, I would say I hope they fix this issue but I know they won't so I just want to ***** a little and I will probly end up getting a second cape or a custom one to make it look more like the movie version which looks much cooler imo.

I wonder if HT'S will release the Midget Sized Predator from Avp?? When the 4 Preds pick up Scar's body, there is a very small sized Pred [emoji14]

but HT never did make any normal sized predator, they are all midgets already

no wonder if you take into consideration that majority of drawings/games show aliens significantly higher than predators, while even A1 should be shorter than P1-2 (KPH was 10 cm higher than BB, and his suit featured an extra crown height compared to alien head).
so everybody believes predators are short already.

I'm loving this new elder, he will be an instant purchase for me, I love me some predators, and any figure is welcome in my collection....though they really better give us Wolf 2.0 he is the one who really needs a remake, and he is the most bad ass pred anyways.

I just have to say it, the figure looks way. way better than the actual character does on film. I just watched the film and was amazed how bad he looked. Hot toys has done a great job of capturing his features but making him look much more bad ass. I will for certain make this a day one purchase!

I think the figure looks cool, but not amazing. I'd love to dee HT do a guardian 2.0. I'd also love for these preds to BE IN ****ING SCALE but thats okay
