If we get a IW Dr strange, I'd only hope for a cloak that actually drapes over one shoulder/arm like it does sometimes in the movies. The original proto they showed for the first figure had it...but they changed it for whatever reason. I'd try to get it parted out if so.

Was so pissed when they changed it lol..

Hmm, never noticed that before. Which one is movie accurate though?

That's the thing, they are both accurate.

Sometimes it's like this

Other times its like this

It changes back and forth in the solo..even literally seconds from scene to scene. (Check the dormammu bargain scene)

So fingers crossed this time they give us a "arm covering" long version

Guess Dr. Strange IW version is pretty much confirmed. ToysTV guys are saying the sculpt is a repaint with more depth/shadows and intensity.

With HT nothing is confirmed until it actually goes up for Pre Order. That said they do usually go pretty deep with the Avengers line.

I watched the video. They comment that the sculpt has strong paintwork with lots of depth and shadows, not that it looks different than the previously released version. And you would expect it to be really well painted since it’s probably just the same original prototype on display that HT used before.

I would be surprised if an IW version of this gets released, and for the normal Spider-Man as well. But who knows. They’ve shown figures before that look identical or really similar to past versions and have never gotten released, like the CW Vision or GotG Vol. 2 Drax. I mean, it’s kinda funny that the Vol. 2 versions of Drax and Gamora never got released but now they are showing the same figures with IW stands.

I’d guess it’s just for promotional purposes, like how Loki and Black Panther are there but are definitely not going to get IW releases with their upcoming Ragnarok/BP releases.

I would be really surprised if they release Vision, Scarlet Witch, and Falcon as well but who knows.

Like hypnobrett said, they’ve done it before. CW Vision is a good example. But it’s IW so they could just be banking on the movie’s popularity to get some easy re-releases out.

Drax and Gamora being pushed to the IW line makes sense. Better to ride the IW train than go back to GotG2. I’m kind of surprised they didn’t do that for Loki as well.

Good catch on Loki, I wasn’t even thinking about him. The fact that the Ragnarok version is there on display with an IW stand pretty much shows that they just have a lot of figures there for display purposes, not because they are getting released again.

I know he doesn't wear it in infinity war, but would have really liked to see them give the Thor Ragnarok costume a shot. I initially thought it was the same as his solo costume, but I think there's enough differences between the yellow gloves and the vest that it would make a really awesome figure.

Well, Dr. Strange is supposed to have fingerless gloves in some of the promo art for IW.
