Thank you for the kind words, I'm really loving this guy. All thanks to T-squared for the work he put in. As far as the "fan" blade, it's growing on me. I was going for the look when Anakin kills the separatists, and there was a lot of one handed fan looking shots in that scene.

Not to mention that’s the only time he had Sith eyes while still in one piece.

Yup, exactly! I'm waiting on a custom robe for him, and I think that will complete my version of Dark Side Anakin. I watched that slaughter scene over and over and the short robe he comes with just doesn't do the figure justice. Funny it's such a small detail, but I tried to get everything else right, might as well go all the way with the look.

Are "Sith Eyes" meant to be something that comes and goes and isn't permanent? Like only during intense moments?

I never bothered to look into it, but my head canon is that he would have had those eyes through that whole portion of the movie, but they just didn't want to bother editing/modifying all the shots so they only did specific close up scenes.

I think the eyes is supposed to be a gradual permanent physical change that happens over time when someone very powerful draws on the dark side.

Sith Eyes are just a poorly thought out retcon to ROTJ Palpy's appearance, just as all prequel Jedi dress like Tatooine moisture farmers. I don't mind though, ROTS is my favorite SW movie overall, sometimes tied with ESB depending on the day.

That, to me, symbolized when he had finally fully given over to the dark side. Well, that, and the slaughtering of the younglings and separatists. I wonder if he didn't get sliced up by Obi Wan if his sith eyes would have permanently remained?

Well he didn't have them while Padme confronted him or when he choked her the funk out, or while fighting Obi-Wan for ten minutes. He only got them again after being dismembered and his hatred for Kenobi took him over.

Thought I should post this here, too - This is my Anakin Skywalker with added "Sith Eyes" effect done by Mary at Frost Vision Studio. I am very pleased with how this turned out. My crummy photos do not capture the *glow* effect which she has created with the gold in the iris, which exemplifies this character in all his glorious rage

Anyone knows if this is available to preorder somewhere in the EU? Rather not depend on the second market although it seems like this is produced in same numbers as the regular Anakin just sold through fewer channels?

Have you checked out www.Popcultcha.com.au? I know it's based in Australia, but they've got it up for P.O. & they ship to the EU, though I am not sure about the customs/tax situation. For USA customers, it costs less to purchase from there than Sideshow.

Good point. Makes me wonder if that was just laziness in editing. I mean, after killing how many innocents before fighting Kenobi, just don't see how he was going to be back to "the light". My humble opinion they should have changed for good as soon as he began to Force choke Padme. Or even as he walked out of the separatists slaughter. By that time, he seemed to be long gone from the light.

It’s not even close. Sideshow has it for $265 before shipping while Popcultcha has it for around $220 right now (they offer discounts on pre-orders but the price often goes up to retail at release). Sideshow rewards would be about $13, plus P.C. has their own rewards system too.

Thanks, but here we eat vat and taxes on anything above roughly $50. With esb vader and emperor coming I'll just try to look this up later. Does anyone know if these toy fair exclusives are rarer then normal editions? I mean you can get them outside of cons just seemingly through fewer distributors so they're not that "exclusive".

Took a chance with popcultcha even though i'm not sure how french customs will handle this. Anyway, at roughly €205 shipped, it's not that much of a risk. Local (EU) etailers have him at €280/€300 before shipping anyway.

About rarity of exclusives, though no one has access to actual figures, i don't believe they are (that) limited. Sideshow tried playing that card offering pick up at convention only, driving prices up on EBay to crazy levels, only to offer the ship to Customer option a couple weeks later.

Now, most overseas markets have Anakin available for PO (though retail vary greatly from a region to another) and i'm convinced everyone wanting to add one to his collection will have a shot at it.
