For those interested in information about how the suit holds up with dynamic poses, I had mine in about as dynamic a pose as you can get (knee bent, body twisted, legs split wide) for over a month. I straightened him out, and nothing is damaged. Some areas are bunched up, but they look like they're slowly returning to normal.

As long as you make sure that the suit doesn't get lodged inside any of the ratcheting joints, I think you're fine.

Finally found him for retail price. Its crazy what people are asking for him. Still, a nice figure with some cool additions. My only nitpick is the eyes. Could they not have made it easier to swap them or even supplied a decent magnet? Now Ive just got to settle on a pose

I use a rare earth magnet pulled from a failed HDD. Works like a charm for swapping the eyes.

Thanks for sharing! While your Cap looks awesome and proportionally correct, aren't you concerned that leaving it pinched like that will cause irreversible damage to the back piece?

Keeping wondering if I want this figure, but considering we have the Iron Spider soon, and likely another version of this figure hitting shelves in early 2020, I think it's better to hold patience.

The stitching/seam on the top of the head seems to range from iffy to terrible. Paying after-market prices of $275+, just not worth it for effectively a design/manufacturing series defect. It is too noticeable to me.

I doubt HT is going to change their manufacturing process. All Spider man figures will have this issue to some degree. As long as they are committed to using a fabric mask there will always be a seam on the forehead. Fortunately Iron Spider has light up eyes, so that head is entirely plastic which I think is the only real solution. But even Iron spidey has to be hand stitched on the side of the suit to close it.

Also a pictures of them taken with a flash look so much worse blown up to 10 times its normal size on a monitor . Mine is not perfect but it's impossible to tell on the shelf looking at it from a couple feet away. I have to take it out, put it under a light and have it about 6 inches from my face (and still it's really not that bad).

Some are really bad but i would guess most are are fine. We will never get perfection on these.

I'm in the same boat. I'm just counting on HT releasing another Spiderman for FFH. Its inevitable really. Just have to hold strong and not break for about 8 months when they probably announce the next one.

I originally had pre ordered him then cancelled as I felt I didnt want him reading all the negatives on here. He releases, still im ok. Then the game for the ps4 is right around the corner and I start getting hyped and start to regret cancelling my PO. I decide that I want him so go looking for one. The prices people are asking are just silly so I tell myself im not going to pay anything over retail or I will just wait for the FFH version. Eventually, I find one at collectibles direct (I emailed them to let me know if anyone cancels with them). I get a reply along the lines of "youre in luck. We still have some unallocated stock so if you want one, hes yours".

So I paid them and next day hes home. Now, whilst I feel hes not the best looking spider guy he is a lot of fun. Im glad I got one and the headstitch isnt bad or all that noticable either. The suit strecting is something that doesnt really bother me as previous spideys suffer from this. However, like previous webheads, the suit returns to normal eventually (if you cant wait then a little steam really helps). My only real nitpick is the eyes. No magnet/tool to help remove them. So I bought one off ebay for £1 so no problem if it works. Although someone mentioned blutack would suffice too

Overall, im happy I have him but probably wouldnt be as much if i paid the current crazy prices.

If you want him, try contacting Collectibles Direct and see if they have any more. I bagged myself the deluxe. Now the wait for Iron Spidey and the PS4 version. Punk one is a definite no for me

I haven't put mine under an electron microscope but to my eyes, it looks fine. Probably could use some reading glasses...

So, my first marvel figure.
Fitting, I suppose, as Spider-Man was my favorite hero as a kid.

And I got the Deluxe version to boot, so that's nice.

While the figure looks mighty impressive at first, it has some limitations.
The lack of articulation is a bit silly for such a character, but considering the limitations of these rubber suits, it's not really surprising. The design of the pelvic area is a bit odd though... the suit bunches up no matter what when you raise the legs, so the restrictive design seems a bit of a wasted effort.

The head on mine seems to have very good stitching, and the suit itself looks perfect. The hands seems a bit too plastic-y, but it's no biggie. Haven't tried switching the eyes out, but that is one cool accessory! The rest of stuff looks great, except for the Vulture's helmet, which isn't really very cleanly sculpted or painted.
The Tom Holland sculpt is amazing, and I'm sorely tempted to exhibit the figure with that sculpt on. Unfortunately, there's a lot of space between the jaw and the neck (also there with the masked head, although less noticeable), so it looks funky from certain angles, but I suppose that's understandable, given the nature of the suit.

I haven't tried the hoody and jacket on yet, but they do look very nice.

Overall a beautiful looking figure, I'm happy I finally have a Spider-Man in my collection.

Will browse this thread for ideas on posing.

Yeah, I've been going over the different threads, some very cool poses and pics.
Haven't really seen any good pics of all the different Spider-Man figures by Hot Toys together. It would be cool to see the evolution of the design.

Also, Holland is a surprisingly tall young fellow, huh? I was expecting the figure to be shorter, but it's quite tall. He's barely half a head shorter than Anakin.
