There's little chance of the prequels being remade, unless Disney wants to reboot the canon again. The comics, books etc. are already referencing the existing PT.

i would much rather see a PT to the PT... one thousand years before the PT...

Ki-Adi-Mundi's comment that the Sith have been extinct "for a millennium" ... there is a lot of story to tell.

Good point, we've already seen what's possible with Knights of the Old Republic and Legacy. Bring it on!!

Also, it's hard to gauge how much demand there would be for a PT remake. Obviously there are a *lot* of old-school fans who hated the prequels, but the younger generation might not mind them so much. Plus boards like this are an echo chamber for prequel hate - could just be a very noisy minority.

Have you all learned nothing? PT lore is in comics so no one will ever remake/reboot? :lol

Nothing is sacred.

The whole point of the new canon is that everything is now sacred. Books, comics, animated series, video games etc. are on the same level as the movies unless stated otherwise. That's why there's now a Lucasfilm Story Group to ensure it all fits together. Some Ep VII story elements have reportedly already appeared in books and comics.

Of course you can safely ignore all that content and it won't affect your enjoyment of the films, but if you want the fleshed-out back story it'll be there.

Haha. And a diorama to watch him die.

Equipped with a customized Mandalorian armor and deadly skills, Boba Fett is a fearsome bounty hunters in the Star Wars galaxy, but also one of the most popular characters among fans! After its reveal at various toy fairs this year, Hot Toys is excited to officially present today the new 1/6th scale Boba Fett Collectible Figure based on Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi!

The highly-accurate collectible figure is specially crafted based on the image of Boba Fett in Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi. It features finely sculpted Boba Fett helmet and armor, his signature jetpack, detailed weapon, accessories, and figure stand.

Star Wars fans shouldn’t miss the opportunity to add this notorious bounty hunter to your prized collection!

The Deluxe version sarlacc is so out of scale based on the pics HT posted on FB. I might just go for the regular.

Looks great!

Sarlacc pit is a cool inclusion for the deluxe version, but not something I'm excited about.

I'm so glad they announced the 1/6 version before the 1/4 came out. I think the 1/4 looks better but i can't be collecting 2 different scales so 1/6 Fett it is.

Looks like the rocket flames are exclusive as well.

I've seen belly buttons bigger than that Sarlacc but I'm still buying.

Pretty sure they're going for a 'forced perspective' look. . . too gimmicky for my tastes. As I mentioned in another thread, Hot Toys is taking the Hasbro approach to figures nowadays, making anything and everything instead of treating them like scaled replicas, and it's bumming me out.

This fig looks spectacular. Wow. :clap

Not sure why they didn't go with a Sarlacc pit wall segment and two tentacles rather than a whole baby Sarlacc that might swallow his boot.

Looks like the rocket flames are exclusive as well.

The rocket flames look as realistic as the Sarlacc's scale.

It's true, there's nothing stopping them. But why redo them when you could just make something else. They are not rebooting. Not much reason to do it. Not when they can make new content and not have to hear the constant comparison. They can't rewrite the main story without changing the original trilogy and thus the new stuff. I just don't see any real incentive but I see a lot of issues.

Can definitely do without the deluxe which is nice. Wasn't sure I wanted a Fett, and would probably prefer the ESB version in my mind, but this looks pretty fantastic. :clap Will be tough to resist ordering at some point.

In the first photos TonTon posted Boba was looking fat.

All the warm and fuzzy feelings went...

Then I saw the shots with the Sarlacc and everything changed to...
