Seeing them side by side really shows how off Sideshow’s chest armor shapes are. They are WAY off—much more tall and narrow and the upper sides are slanting inwards way too much. The gauntlets also look smaller on the Sideshow version. Are they IRL?

All that said, I’m still fine with my Sideshow and don’t feel like I need to upgrade. I like the ESB look better, although seeing the multi colored jetpack and gauntlets really hit all the right nostalgia buttons in me, reminding me of the original Kenner 12” figure!

I'm having HT withdrawals and wish this, Leia, or Ant-Man would hit the streets...heck I'd even settle for production pics of the Hulkbuster! I'm SO CLOSE to pulling the trigger on something...maybe a Spacetrooper...just to have something in the process of being shipped!

nice shots, Kylo. Here's one I took too, but with SS v2 Fett.

thanks s much for this, Sideshow Fett 2.0 doesn't look that bad but will still get hot toys. ROTJ Fett is my favorite

Sideshow's Fett is off in so many ways its not even funny. The way Hasbro looks standing next to a Sideshow, that's the way this Sideshow Fett looks standing next to that HT Fett.

Sometimes (always?), you really have to wonder what on earth Sideshow was thinking...

Mine arrived today, great looking figure.

Have to decide which 1/6 version I'm keeping, but needed to see the HT Fett in hand rather than making the decision based on pics

This photo demonstrates exactly the issue I have with the HT. The neck. Like the helmet is just sitting on the chest. SS proportions look way better here.

Great pic and posing.

That is about the best picture I've seen of the SS Fett in pose. But to me the HT still looks more natural, like a man in a suit.

Look closely at the SS biceps, forearms, legs. Lanky body. Helmet is smallish for that tall of a body.

I'm in the same boat. Its been too long since my last HT figure! :impatient:

On another note, was there that big of a difference in the green color between films or is one of the figures' coloring (I'm guessing SS) really off?

I just noticed the gloves on the 1/4 scale are a different color. The green portions of the two-tone almost matches the color of the armor. Which version is correct?

They all look good in this particular picture.

Thanks :)

Thanks, the helmet is tilted forward quite a bit in the pic (at both the upper and lower neck joints)

I agree. The proportions are pretty bad and so is the 1980s shade of neon green.

It's really not a bad Fett figure at all overall - it just to me doesn't capture ESB Boba Fett. The overall colors, helmet shape, chest armor and body proportions are the main problems, but there are other noticeable issues as you look closer.

Yet, it's quite a nice Fett figure that displays well if screen accuracy isn't a big issue.:dunno

I understand why some people who already own the ssc would pass on the HT to avoid redundancy and cost but the hot toys looks superior in nearly every way. If just choosing one or the other the hot toys is easily worth the extra 30 bucks unless you absolutely insist on ESB over ROTJ imo.

If they were still selling the v1 it might be more of a decision--$175 with more accessories and the cool light-up base versus $235. But the v2 vs the new Hot Toys isn't much of a decision I'd think.

Yeah, that light-up base goes for $$$ on eBay.

Getting my HT Boba Fett on June. But the picture shows Sideshows is a much better bucket shape in my opinion. Much better flare at the bottom part of the helmet.

ROTJ's didn't flare out as much, or so someone said in here earlier. Is that true?

Anyway, all mute because HT is doing an ESB Fett... probably at SDCC that's why the rush to get this one in our hands over the next two months before the show.

Yeah definitely sold on the HT over the SSC after all these great comparison pics. The paint and proportions are the main deal breakers imo.
