Bummer, because I really wanted a Thor-era Loki figure.
It might still happen. With the apparent success of the Avengers version they may put the original Thor version into production, maybe as a con exclusive? They spent the money on the prototype, might as well do something with it!

Blah, no con exclusives, please. I don't wanna have to spend $800+ to buy it on eBay.
Well you can typically get them on Sideshow for the same price. Hell, the Rescue Version Captain America is still available.

I think that has more to do with a ww2 era fig not looking as good with others on display, for me anyways. I'd buy either a thor 2 loki or a non armored up ver from avengers as a con ex

Well I got my Loki and finally got the chance to put him together tonight. The helmet was a bit of a pain, but I got it on alright. It actually looks like there isn't a tab on the back part on mine, but the two on the side seem to keep it together just fine.

There was no back tab on mine either. A lot of people said the same thing. Perhaps a last minute product change since its not needed anyway?
... So they say. We may get one more version from T:TDW, remains to be seen. But it looks like the Loki train has left the station.... shame. I will miss him onscreen.

If anybody is still looking for Loki GoHastings has Loki and Black Widow in stock. No brown shippers and may get a open one but, if you want one at retail price its worth a shot.

They throw out the shipper boxes cause the figure boxes are displayed in the collectibles sections.
Many of the stores have display figures, so when a person orders, the most expedient shipping store will send you a package. If they are down to only displays, guess what you will get in the mail?
But in their defense, the customer service returns is great. So if it is a bum figure you can always return it.

They've sent me the wrong figure a couple of times, but other than that, I haven't had any problems with them. Their returns process is pretty easy as well.

Only thing I've ever bought from them was the Batpod and it came double boxed and was in perfect condition.
Considering BBTS is even out of them, there can't be many left anywhere for retail.
