It looks like I'm in the minority as his Avengers looks is my absute favorite, but I'm also a fan of his original Thor costume, not to mention a 1/6 CoAW accessory would've been very cool to have.

Minority.... I think most would agree with you. I certainly do.
Now that CoAW thing is a huge want of mine gimme gimme gimme.....

The Avengers Loki helmet does not fit on DW Loki's head.

But you can replace the whole head, which is what I did.

I really like DW Loki but don't care for the head sculpt and lack of helmet. Avengers Loki sculpt is stupid expensive to swap so I guess I'll just wait and pray for a helmeted Ragnorak Loki.

I've been checking ebay for the various pieces needed to do this myself... I'm glad I can see what it looks like finished because now I really want to... I've seen the prices of the Avengers loki accessories and I was thinking getting the entire figure would be a better way to spend the money. Now i'm torn.

I took DW Loki and got him an Avengers Loki head and helmet, long scepter and cape. Had to tuck in his cape to his dark armor as it didn't have proper placement without the Avengers armor, but I think it looks pretty darn good. I like the fitting of his DW gear better than Avengers, seems less 'poofy'.

Where did you find the cape Mugatu? Ebay? I don't see any more in there

Yes I looked everyday for a month to find the cape and the long scepter. Plenty of short ones, but the long was hard to come by. Same with the cape...and only realized after the fact that the same seller sold them to me.

The short scepter was easy to come by, it was parted out from Banner. About a year ago I searched everywhere for weeks for an Avengers Loki sculpt, all I could find were crap bootlegs.

So how are the knock off helmets for Loki? Is their much of a difference between these and the original Hot Toys? Never got the Avengers Loki because I thought he was way too bulky looking and always hoped they'd do the original Thor version. Since the Dark World figure has been hanging around been thinking of picking him up with 20% off promo or waiting for another 40% off like the limited Ultron deal which I missed I guess I'd have to pick up a knock off head too for the helmet to fit...

i did that too. His neck was too tall and made the head look weird. Especially if you don't have the cape

Thor: Loki has probably become one of the MCU grails (along with a Howling Commandos Bucky, Agent Carter, and Sif), haha. Even though there have been two other figures of him, I still want the first version soooooooo bad. Favorite look, favorite film for the character. It will probably remain my favorite Thor film, too.

Agreed, first film Loki made with today's standards would be incredible. Best version of the character, and he felt much more like a trickster than the blatant villain he was in Avengers.

The first Thor Loki is my favourite version of the character as well, if they were to make one now it would be amazing I'm sure. Can't see it happening though now which is a real shame
