I think that is goofy as hell but it's your collection so do what you want and enjoy.

I had Megos when I was a kid and to me Hot Toys figures are basically really expensive, well-made, oversized Megos. I can't think of anything more boring than putting a collection together that must always exactly mimic the source material down to every detail. I like to use my imagination a bit or collecting these things starts to feel rather pointless. So Superman is going to be part of my Avengers setup, and Hit-Girl is Keaton Batman's partner. But, different strokes for different folks...

Well, here's my solution to the Loki problem:

In my collection she's going to be Loki. She has a horned helmet and a magic staff. And in Norse mythology, Loki was a shape-changer who sometimes assumed female form.

Seriously. She's Loki and no one can tell me any different. Saves me all the money it would take to go after the first Loki figure, and she also saves me the heartache of this new Hiddleston headsculpt. Not to mention those fragile chains.

I'll be displaying my Maleficient with Loki, they'll look great together for sure. But Maleficient as a complete Loki replacement in a Marvel display? You cray cray

I'm just hardwired to treat these figures like Megos. Mixing and matching universes, kitbashing figures...it's just how I roll.

I do think, though, in an alternate universe where Hiddleston never got the part and Angelina Jolie was actually interested in doing it, that she could have made a kick-*** Loki. Another reason I'm doing this is that I really dig the Maleficent figure but can't deal with the idea of a Disney witch on my shelves. She needs to be someone else for the, um, Shelf Narrative to work.
