Re: 1/6 Hot Toys MMS264 - X-Men: DOFP: Wolverine

Head sculpt is brilliant, outfit is well done outside of the poofy pants which don't look too flattering, but how is this $250????

That's a joke. It comes with absolutely nothing.

$250? I was about to say it better be around $199 since man of steel who has a special base is that price. And it's not like Man of steel came out 5 years ago to warrant that much inflation. I like the figure but I guess I'll wait it out to be 10% off free shipping and double rewards.

Any chance the Claws will be made with the same material as the Predator Blades??

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys MMS264 - X-Men: DOFP: Wolverine Collectible Figure (Specs + Pics)

Yeah but Deadpool comes with a ton of accessories, sculpts, etc. This? 4 hands.

I'm sure their Wolverine will either have more accessories or be cheaper.

Deadpool has no likeness fees. Yes it had a lot of accessories and people knew it won't be lower than $200, but definitely not expecting $230. HT's Winter Soldier has 2 sculpts too, one of which directly based upon a real person's likeness, and a decent amount of accessories. Is also $230.

Let's see how much they would charge for their Wolverine. $240 is cheaper than $250.

hmmm, so that would put it at $225 with free shipping and $22.50 back in rewards, I would probably go for it at that price :wink1:

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys MMS264 - X-Men: DOFP: Wolverine

- everyone order with retailers that don't charge an NRD.
- then in the months before it's expected to comes out, cancel your orders
- wait 3 months
- buy when Wolverine is heavily discounted because retailers/distributors can't sell them at the price

Not sure if some of you noticed, but these figures haven't been selling as well as they used to. Between the high MSRP's, weekly releases and possibly high production numbers, waiting around almost guarantees an actual deal (unless it's Iron Man).

So you went back and looked for all their posts and comments just so you could say, "I told you so"?

It's not like I had to do some digging to find that.

This thread isn't even 24 hours old and has like 4 pages! :lol

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys MMS264 - X-Men: DOFP: Wolverine

I was hoping for a futuristic Wolverine, with a 1970's price. ;)

Now if this came with a 1970s outfit and extra head sculpt (even if it was just a non aged version) $250 would be okay

Yeah. Our local stores can hardly fill out all the PO slots lately, and have been doing massive sales with flexpay options every now and then (there's one currently going on over the weekend where 89 Batmobile can be bought for $440, Crow @ $80, Iron Patriot @ $240, all @ 0% 6 or 12-months installment. Visit SSC and its homepage would greet you with a lot of HTs on sale including the MoS line and The Wolverine.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys MMS264 - X-Men: DOFP: Wolverine

I hope no one buys this now at that price point. Maybe it will teach them to not price so high. Does this even come with a stand? Seems like a very bare bones figure.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys MMS264 - X-Men: DOFP: Wolverine

$250 means this guy is a hard pass. It's a shame that the best Wolverine sculpt comes with a figure that's so overpriced and represents an outfit where all he did was sleep, and stab Kitty in.

Lol, so true. But definitely can't pass on this one.

unfortunately the only thing that will teach Hot Toys is........ not to make any more X-Men figures

I know when working on merch from Xmen 3 we had to get approval from not only Fox but also from Halle Berry and Hugh.
