Re: 1/6 Hot Toys MMS264 - X-Men: DOFP: Wolverine

Yea, I don't know how HT can charge $250, looks like a plain vanilla MMS, plus the last two Wolverine figures are not even selling that well.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys MMS264 - X-Men: DOFP: Wolverine

LOL!
Deadpool from Sideshow is cheaper and comes with a ton of stuff...Hot Toys Wolverine comes with hands and cost $250?
Easy pass!

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys MMS264 - X-Men: DOFP: Wolverine

If it was 70's Wolverine,i would actually pay up that amount of money for it.And not this version where he was unconscious almost through the entire movie.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys MMS264 - X-Men: DOFP: Wolverine

I'm down for a Blink If Hot Toys makes one. :)

But I doubt it'll happen. :(

Who knows? Fan Bingbing is a popular star in China and HK, and HT's done fan service figures for their fellow countrymen before :)

Anyway, I dread to see the prices of AoU figures 2 years from now. Guess I'd end up just saving up for Batman Returns and Batfleck, and just be happy with pictures of AoU figures.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys MMS264 - X-Men: DOFP: Wolverine

I say we're about a year away from regular MMS figures being $300 all around.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys MMS264 - X-Men: DOFP: Wolverine

Probably. Makes the memory of getting my 1/4 Batman Begins @ $340 less than 2 years ago even sweeter.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys MMS264 - X-Men: DOFP: Wolverine

I don't see the big deal on getting a 70's Wolverine over future Wolverine, you get a cheap pair of sunglasses, a pleather jacket and a paisley shirt. :huh

But to each their own.

Well here's to hoping that Hot Toys makes a Blink! :duff

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys MMS264 - X-Men: DOFP: Wolverine

Yeah I liked his 70s look but not sure if its really my preference. I like the future suit despite it not being showcased in the film a ton.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys MMS264 - X-Men: DOFP: Wolverine

I'm buying. It looks awesome, finally the sculpt is right. Hopefully this suit is in the next film.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys MMS264 - X-Men: DOFP: Wolverine

I love Hugh and Wolverine, buy why does this have to be the only character that ever gets made from The X-Men license?
I really feel that it's putting off fans of the series and if this turns out to be a poor seller, then it puts the whole line in jeopardy. Why not do a Magneto or Mystique seeing as they were also featured heavily in the film?

Its because Wolverine sells merchandise. I love the other characters too but I don't know how many of them would be big sellers in all honesty. Magneto would probably do well and possibly Professor X.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys MMS264 - X-Men: DOFP: Wolverine

I would so much prefer 70s Wolverine, the future suit just looks horrible. Maybe in the film where it's all dark you can't really tell, but it just looks like a mix of different outfits that don't match. Plus, the future has been changed, this version of Wolverine may not even exist anymore.

I've been wanting a Mystique since First Class. But Hot Toys has dashed my hopes. :monkey2

HT isn't charging 250, SS is.

I canceled Deadpool and ordered this.

Yes but HT is most likely charging SS more money per figure. The prices are just going to keep going up unless people stop buying. This hobby is going to reach it's limit sooner rather than later and the bubble will burst. I had no interest in buying this figure but even if I did, I sure as hell ain't paying $250 for it. The problem is people are impatient. Not all HT figures raise in value once they're out. Deals can be had if you just wait.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys MMS264 - X-Men: DOFP: Wolverine

- everyone order with retailers that don't charge an NRD.
- then in the months before it's expected to comes out, cancel your orders
- wait 3 months
- buy when Wolverine is heavily discounted because retailers/distributors can't sell them at the price

Not sure if some of you noticed, but these figures haven't been selling as well as they used to. Between the high MSRP's, weekly releases and possibly high production numbers, waiting around almost guarantees an actual deal (unless it's Iron Man).

:goodpost::exactly:

It's only a matter of time before HT prices everyone out. It won't be too long before their products are selling at record lows and drop their prices
The question is, how far will they go?

This is a "Days of Future Past" figure which means its current price will reflect future prices.

Yeah, but this figure will be a significantly higher quality than Deadpool. I think both are overpriced, but the Deadpool is more overpriced.
