I don't own a wolverine figure as previous releases have been a bit underwhelming imo. I would like to grab this but I will probably wait for a discount or use points towards it.

Yeah but its SIDESHOW! Do we have any faith in ssc doing it right?

If the collar on their Deadpool is anything to go off of, I have a feeling we'll a lot of "almost there" and "it's so close" releases. Pity.
For $200, Hot Toys would figure out a way to make an accurate collar with buckle AND a tighter-fitting suit that doesn't look like cheap spandex. I'd rather they tackle this line than SSC.

Yeah I dunno...... Sideshow's releases seem.......meh, don't get me wrong I love that they are doing it and I have Deadpool on order, but they need to step it up imo

People are upset that this figure is so expensive, but compare it to the comic line at sideshow...those comic figures licenses only pay marvel and are of less quality(though I do still like them but the HS on those alone come no where near the difficulty of hot toys likeness stuff..) where hot toys pays marvel(the license fees thru them will be close to the same for each as they mostly go by product type and sakes location ie 12 inch figure in North America adult collector or. 6 inch retail line in Canada ect) plus hot toys pays fox and the individual actor. ( jackman in this case). On top of the licenses themselves there is the hours/time required to pay to negotiate the deals, pay lawyers to write the contracts and re read them, and so on. Plus the figures way better quality. So an extra 50 bucks seems like a bargin to me.

its wolverine, it looks good, I know I want it so sense lying to myself. I don't like the price but with a 20$ discount code
at some point that will soften the blow.

Although the Sideshow figures come with a lot more... this is a very bare bones release even from HT. The Sideshow figures while probably costing them less in licensing (although who knows if that is true or not) are still including way more stuff with their $230 Deadpool figure.

Having said that, this is a pretty great looking figure, but no interest in owning it. Hopefully now that we've gotten a 4th Wolverine from Sideshow they can now release someone else from X-Men :lol

Deadpool is an easier figure to do, though. Compare this to what would be asked for a DOFP Wolverine custom (and that could have very well been the case if HT decided to not bother) and all of a sudden, it looks cheap in comparison. :D

Yeah, I'm not saying that SSC would do it better than Hot Toys. Just giving a reason why. Obviously it would be nice if HT made figures based off the comics and they would definitely do it better than Sideshow, it's just that they're unlikely to.

It seems that people are really blinded by SSC's act of giving anything they could have included to their Deadpool figure. Yes, DOFP Wolverine is expensive, but Deadpool is still overpriced FOR A SIDESHOW FIGURE. Comparing SSC's Deadpool's $230 to HT's DOFP Wolverinee's $250 is no contest. And indeed you'll say that Logan is overpriced.

Compare Deadpool to HT's Winter Soldier and you'd see the truth.

Could anyone try PSing this head on the X3 body?
