I would think HT already has an agreement with Fassbender since they were also showing a "David" from Prometheus. But if not I'm sure he's high on their list because it would be holding up at least two figures. Chan says the X-Men license has been tedious and the feud and contracts for actor likenesses probably isn't making it easier. But maybe the logjam will break in the next few months and there will finally be some movement. With HT doing Iron Man/Avengers, Star Wars, BvS/Justice League, GotG, not to mention their various second tier licenses (BttF, Predators, Aliens, Prometheus, Avatar, Terminator, RoboCop, etc.) I don't know how much X-Men is going to be able to squeeze in there.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys MMS264 - X-Men: DOFP: Wolverine

Nothing makes the bank robber joker a steal.

at least that has a special base, two sculpts and a bunch of accessories still overpriced by a lot. This one has extra hands.

I am a fan of XMen / Wolverine as anyone but I recognize this is ridiculously overpriced. I'll own it because it's Wolverine and I want to support the line in hopes of more figures knowing they too will likely carry a similar price tag.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys MMS264 - X-Men: DOFP: Wolverine

i guess that makes it an iffy purchase for most, not for me

I hear you man, trust me I get every Batman stuff but not this BR2.0, and to think that I missed the first BRJ. That's exactly how I feel about this release, I love wolverine but I am not gonna get raped by Hot toys on this one.

This figure is awesome. I just hope they make some more from DoFP

This guy. We NEED this guy.

Yeah im STILL trying to sell my HT BR Joker 2.

What on earth are HT paying for the license and likeness rights for this line? $250 for a figure with only extra hands as an accessory is just ridiculous! We just had the BD T1 T800 released that was $230 and it came with 2 headsculpts with a light up eye and weapons.

Gamora is $200 with rooted hair and weapons. I just don't get this price hike and perhaps HT need to re evaluate the cost of their licenses they're aquiring if it is going to cost this much for a bare bones figure. What's a Professor with wheelchair gonna cost, $350?

From this line I personally want to see others from the original cast seeing as we didn't get anyone, apart from Wolverine from them. I want Sir Ian McLellan Magneto and Patrick Stewart Professor X. I also like Fassbender as Magneto, bit he isn't my favourite.

I think we'll be lucky to get another figure from this line after Wolverine. It's a shame because there could be so many awesome figures they could produce.

I think I'll be waiting till this goes double rewards, coupon eligible till I even consider picking this one up.

Everyone says that there are too many Iron man figures. Well enough with Wolverine! Just my opinion. :wink1:

I think the problem with any Wolverines prior to this one aside from poor sculpts is that they never bothered to make more than just Wolvie out of that particular film - for good reason, mostly. X3 was not well received by the fans so its no surprise to me that they only made him and not the rest of the team. Origins was a terrible movie IMO but I still would have bought a Liev Sabretooth had they released one, and I'm sure people would have bought Taylor Kitsch Gambit and Reynolds Wade Wilson given the opportunity (tons of customs out there). Again, not surprised they only made Wolvie. Lastly there's Mangold's The Wolverine - finally a good Wolvie picture, but not filled with characters I could see Hot Toys interested in doing aside from Wolvie. A 1/6 Silver Sam should have been the other figure from that film to come from Hot Toys (specially after seeing what they did with Rhino from ASM2). It would have been cool to display him towering over Wolvie.

Days of Future Past was both a critical and financial success and is truly tailor-made for Hot Toys given all the characters it featured and their respective wardrobes. Essentially this is finally the line where Hot Toys should make more than just Wolverine - specially since they finally nailed Jackman's sculpt and can use his figure as an example of the quality all the other DOFP characters will possess.
