Thanks. My detolfs are full. Starlord has no companion so I placed wolverine. Yeah, starlord & wolvie definitely needs a teammate companion.

I'm excited to finally be getting this guy! I was really disappointed when SSC sold out because I had been saving RPs for him and had hoped he'd end up with a spooktacular discount. Alas, Popcultcha came to save the day!

If I remember right the past two years Popcultcha has had DC / MARVEL / HOT TOYS / STAR WARS day sales as part of their 12 days of Christmas.

I hope the next Wolverine figure comes with these...

That'd be an Instabuy.

The film universe is only half faithful to the comics anyway, costumes especially. They never even tried with Wolverine.

Better than what they've done with the F4 though. Man, a 1/6 Thing would be awesome.

Oh I agree, the films are very different. I also think those films paved the way to give us the superhero flicks we have today. I can sense people grabbing the pitchforks now, but I don't think the comic appearance of Wolverine's classic costume would work with what they've built and I think that's why it's never been done. The outfit is far too goofy and ridiculous to look at and say "Jackman's Wolverine would go for that". I really actually like the Days of Future Past outfit. It has classic color highlights but looks plausible for the films. I would liken it to having Iron Man wear a suit that looks like the original appearance one from the comics, it would be laughable at best.

I admittedly haven't even seen the new F4 movie, man hahaha. But I think a 1/4 thing would be...dare I say fantastic...too.

Why would a character like Wolverine want to dress up in some lycra looking outfit with a weird looking mask? Some comic designs do not transfer well to the big screen.

If they can do it with Cap, they can do it with Wolverine.

I doubt they'll do it with Jackman though, so whenever the property gets rebooted, they hopefully hew more closely to the comic book look.

Cap's Avengers outfit seems to be the least popular and they quickly returned to a more combat type of costume for him. His mask really is more like a protective helmet, so it works fine for him.

I think Wolverine's mask is a lot like Scarlet Witch's and they so far haven't added that to her costume, from what we saw at the end of AoU.

I'm not that interested in seeing the comic costume on screen. I also like the Last Stand outfit. I have that outfit with the DOFP head. I'm open to a new outfit in Apocalypse.

Fox doesn't care much for visual accuracy. When the day comes that Marvel gets the rights back, Galactus will not be a giant cloud, and Wolverine will wear his suit at least part of the time.

The Last Stand uniform has always looked stupid. Boring, black leather. Marvel isn't perfect when it comes to appearance, but they're generally close to the mark.

This. Cap's Avengers costume looks like a pair of pajamas. It's utterly ridiculous and doesn't fit the appearance of a realistic depiction of comics. If people want tights and underwear on the outside they need to watch an animated adaption.
If Spider-Man is an acceptable film costume, then Wolverine in mask and comic-styled uniform is an acceptable film costume.
Wait...what? That logic doesn't check out. Spider-Man is effectively a gymnast. He's one of the only cinematic characters where it makes sense for a spandex suit to be worn, hence why that's the case. Just because it works for one person doesn't mean it should for others; function and structure in a symbiotic relationship. That's like saying since Falcon has wings, Magneto needs wings too because he can "fly" as well.

For a superhero film to work, it has to be believable, justifiable. We're expecting an audience accept some rather outlandish concepts, so to counter that you have to make the content relatable on another level by bringing it into a grounded realm; this gives the viewers something they can grasp. If you threw a direct comic adaption you would get a jumbled mess of wannabe cartoons. Iron man in a skintight yellow bodysuit with a bucket helmet? Nah, that's not gonna fly, both figuratively and literally.

It's like AOU Hulk pants. Here it makes sense to have an elastic material; It's hilarious that people think that is a ridiculous concept. It makes sense, because that way Banner isn't naked all the time once he calms down. But it's not a pair of purple, ripped shorts so get the pitchforks.

Now that's not to say that an adaption of the comic suit isn't possible, but it's not going to be spandex. The closest (and admittedly very nice) you're going to get are the First Class uniforms, and I don't think they will ever use the helmet either way.

I think the closest to an original suit is going to be something that looks like a hybrid between Captain America's AOU suit and the First Class uniforms. But that is essentially what the DOFP suit was, except it had the black armor, which fits with the color palate the films have adopted. And the black isn't bad, the X-Force suits are black and grey, if memory serves me right, and that is comic "okay".
