Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS275 - John Blake and Jim Gordon with Bat-Signal Collectible Set

Gordon with Batsignal is a no-brainer. Obvious money grab is obvious.

It is still a great set, I think. If you are into men with suits.

That's why I really don't see this being too expensive. I could be wrong.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS275 - John Blake and Jim Gordon with Bat-Signal Collectible Set

But not surprising considering they did the same thing for Armory Bruce. Odd that Gordon doesn't even have a pistol or anything. Would have been cool if they gave him a shirt holster or something but hey, atleast you get FILES!

The T-1000 figure looks great though, especially the likeness. However, I think I prefer the original one. That figure had more extras like the blade arms/hands and the motorcycle helmet with sunglasses, not to mention the split head. This one is nice for people that missed out, sort of an odd pairing with Gordon though. I also love how there's no option for just Gordon and the signal. Hot Toys you rascals.

For sure. And yeah, what NECA did on the 1/4 Keaton is incredible. I mean, an actual human HS underneath the mask? That body? $100??!!!

But I still doubt HT would ever revisit the 89 Bats. It is sadly not the "TDK" suit, that has been revisited 200 times. Bummer.

A set with Keaton, Alfred, and the 89-90's armory, plus a glider, BR style, would be an instant buy for me. INSTANT.

I think an '89 armory with Steve Jobs Bruce and Alfred is a real possibility. But it'd be a separate release from the Returns Batman, as it should be. I'd happily buy them both.

This made my day.:lol

The more I've started to think about it, the more I think that the way they did this was stupid. Initially, I thought it was a pretty good idea, from a business perspective. Blake's more divisive than Gordon, simple as that, so, forcing him into people who want Gordon doesn't seem like the worst idea ever in the grand scheme of things, when it comes to making money. That being said, the stupid part is offering a set with only Blake. You'll have some people who kitbashed a Gordon from the SWAT version, or have custom versions, or what have you, but the fact is that more people want Gordon than Blake, so, you're going to be left with as many Blakes by doing that as you would be if you'd offered a Gordon only set. They should've offered the three pack and that's it.

Plus, I'm a stickler for accuracy, and Blake was never on the roof with a functional Batsignal. The only time he was by the Batsignal at all was with Gordon, but, even then, it was smashed to ****. Gordon was the only one seen with the functional Batsignal, and that was at the end.:lol

What do you think of this new T-1000 figure a-dev? Did they get the hairline right this time?

Man I have to be a Debbie Downer I'm afraid. Doesn't do it for me, I'm waiting for the 3.0.

In seriousness, this set looks fantastic

Rofl, that T-1000 comment made me rushing over to the aliens and robot section.... *** damnit.

Tonto has to have someone to hang out with.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS275 - John Blake and Jim Gordon with Bat-Signal Collectible Set

I think what it all comes down to is that I love both the 89 film and the Nolan Trilogy equally. If Caine gets an Alfred, then so, too, should Gough. Also, I'm not so sure about that. I looked at the Armory set, and I compared it to the DX 12. That puts the Armory itself at about $125. If you split the remainder three ways, it's about $175 a figure, but, if you subtract the full $385 from the set and divide the remainder, you're looking at about $128 each for Alfred and Bruce, and about $155 for just the Alfred, if you went with the two-pack rather than the three. So, would I buy a Gough for close to $200? Probably not, but for $125-150? Why not?

Plus, I think it's the novelty of it more than anything. Kind of like human Murphy, it's that "holy ****, I can't believe Hot Toys made a Michael Gough Alfred" factor more than it is the "I desperately need a Michael Gough Alfred in my collection" factor.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS275 - John Blake and Jim Gordon with Bat-Signal Collectible Set

I'd be surprised if HT made a Michael Gough Alfred. I'm sure the My Cocaine Alfred was a pretty tough sell and that was from the Nolan worshipers over at HT AND it needed to be packaged with an Armory.

Coleman Reese and Lucius two-pack next.

This looks to be a very nice set. Lovely sculpts!

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS275 - John Blake and Jim Gordon with Bat-Signal Collectible Set

So is this Bat signal going to actually work? Or is it simply gonna light up? That would be crazy.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS275 - John Blake and Jim Gordon with Bat-Signal Collectible Set

On the fence... really want the signal but don't really have use for Blake and Gordon.

But the problem is the signal might be parted out from sets and go for just as much as the set itself... so might as well get the set.

Damn this hobby!

The price of the set is high, but it is a price you may be willing to pay.

apologies if I'm the 26th person to make this joke

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS275 - John Blake and Jim Gordon with Bat-Signal Collectible Set

Wut? . . .

Is it going to be a working spotlight is my question. Bat logo shining on the wall, etc. It won't be, but it would be awesome if so.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS275 - John Blake and Jim Gordon with Bat-Signal Collectible Set

It better.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS275 - John Blake and Jim Gordon with Bat-Signal Collectible Set

The prices on these two sets really aren't bad at all if you ask me. I'm in for the Gordon and Blake set.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS275 - John Blake and Jim Gordon with Bat-Signal Collectible Set

Where are you seeing prices for them?
