A Riggs and Murtaugh 2 pack would be even better though.

Man, Hot Toys would never so that (I doubt China cares about Lethal Weapon), but that would be awesome. I can picture those specs/pics for them too.

Well HT is going have to start rethinking the licenses they have and pursuing, most of these figures aren't selling out anymore, I hope figures like Marty and Ripley show them most of us are interested in new figures from classic franchises not exclusive to superheroes.

He definitely deserves a figure and would probably sell just as good as Marty.

:goodpost: :exactly:

I'd love a DX John McClane from the first Die Hard with an alternate BD head and BD limbs for $320. But if HT gets greedy and instead does a regular and BD McClane for $240 apiece, please put me down for one of each. Thanks!

I think a DX pack similar to the Bespin Luke figure would work best.
1 figure with a clean body and undershirt, and his other clothes from the plane (because why not? :monkey3)
1 BD figure with interchangeable bloody feet and a magnetic taped gun that you can attach to his back
And the machine gun, his hand gun, cigarettes, lighter, radio, the back pack with detonators and the marker he uses to write Christmas greetings on Tony etc, everything he touches in the movie :lol

Lots of options for exclusives too. Christmas tape for his hidden pistol or some old twinkles would be awesome.

Teddy bear :monkey3

One can dream...

HT need to stop pushing Nolan batman already, the character we need already completed (lucius and raalghul already made by other company) . just move on to other license. Ghostbuster maybe??

That's precisely my point... The script wld not loose iota of an impact if that character was completely wiped off. I understand the need to make a figure cause they have a license but seriously there are so many cooler things to buy, why wld anyone want to have his figure. Honestly, that section where he finds out who batman was ... Was laughable, and outright ridiculous... Very undeserving for a trilogy of that class to have that portion at all...

My point is that, yes there are worse characters than him but what I shld have probably said was this will be 'one of the worst' character to be made into a figure and find its way on people's shelves... Well atleast I feel so... :(

Lastly, HT is always so backed up with everything, and there are so many figures that they can do instead of Blake... :( :( ...

I don't think Robin was one of the worst (I think Rachel Dawes is worse, if not just as bad) but he was full of **** at times. I feel like Nolan tried to parallel how Tim Drake found out about Batman and Grayson as Robin, but the problem is the lack of actual logic in Nolan's attempt. It made a good degree of sense in the comics (Robin's acrobatics being the same ones Grayson and his family did, Robin coming into the picture around the same time Grayson was adopted by Bruce, etc.) but Blake...the look in Baleman's face? Even though you can't see most of it? That's a load of trash, get out Nolan. The Robin parallel was also...shoe horned in, legal name? I'm surprised Bale even let that go, he's stated that he hates the character of Robin actually and would have left the trilogy.

Also, Gordon finding out who Batman is at the end of Rises actually made some sense, unlike Blake. The nod to the comfort Gordon gave to young Bruce and the coat. It's not perfect, but I believe it unlike Blake :lol

I agree that there are many other characters that should have been higher on the list than Blake. He was thrown in so people could nod and wink at each other when they revealed the name Robin, like it mattered. He was chosen to be the next Batman because he saw Bruce Wayne once and somehow knew he was Batman immediately then grew up to be a cop that wasn't a piece of ****. No training necessary--just give him the keys to the cave and let him figure it out. In the meantime, I can't get a Stamp Zod, black robe Jor-El, any Die Hard figure, an updated Big Chap Alien, etc.

Wow this thread has derailed a little bit, is anyone hyped for this anymore? How laughable, I'm actually surprised it almost made it to 100 pages, considering the only good thing about the set is a re hash of a figure with different clothes. I think people are sick of Nolan Batman, and this will be the nail in the coffin hope Howard doesn't waste more money and time before he realizes that. (New Iron Man announcement tomorrow :wink1:) FML

Do not worry it will sell better than Bat 1/12. And I think there will be some more TDK Trilogy figures occasionally (Fox, Ras, new BB suit, may be even Two-Face 2.0. and Dr. Crane).

The saddest thing about this set, is that they do not bother to modify Gordon's sculpt even a bit :(

Other than a Liam Neeson, I hope this is the last TDK Trilogy item Hot Toys offers. If you think of all the stuff that got made between heroes, villains and vehicles it really is a solid line. Not too many lines have had this selection save for Iron Man and the Marvel Universe. It had a good run in my opinion. Sure, it's mostly made up of Batman and Joker figures, but that's to be expected.

With lackluster sales for the Bank Robber Joker, all Armory options still in stock and a poorly received 1/12 Bat, it feels like the line has come to a close. Maybe Hot Toys could put out a 10th anniversary type set with Ra's and Bruce or Batman and call it a day before Affleck Batman is upon us.

Man, I would kill for a John McClane. There are no good figures of him period, and barely any of Bruce Willis outside of Joe Colton. He would probably sell relatively well honestly, since Die Hard is a classic film. Though the last one may have tarnished the series's image.

Regardless I agree, Blake doesn't really deserve a figure. I agree with everyone elses' thoughts of the general character too.

i think you have summarized very well...

on a lighter note... i think they shld have packaged this as:

- Bat Signal & Gordon, Brown Shipper Box, Hot Toys Instruction Manual, and "free Blake figure" (in the specific order of importance)

JK... but ... :lightsabe

you know who was shocked the most when the blake figure was being considered... Joseph Gordon-Levitt ... in fact for his likeness licence - its Hot Toys who received money from Joseph Gordon-Levitt rather than he receiving any...:chase
