Sorry if this was talked about already, but what's the deal with this guy's height? Are HT upping the scale of the armors to where they should be (but in turn making it taller than previous armors)?

A 1/4 should be 18" but the 43 is 20". All 1/6 armors were 12" but what this one really is is unclear. Sideshow lists him at 12", Hot Toys says 12.2" (31cm) and this site has it listed at 13.3": https://www.collectht.com/guide/i/M...MS-278---Iron-Man-Mark-XLIII--Age-of-Ultron-/

That site does list the actual figure at 31cm also, my guess is the 13.3" takes the thickness of the base into account when the figure is on it (overall height).

What's up fellas. Totally new to Hot Toys/toy collecting in general. More of a sneaker collector, so I get how an influx of noobies can be annoying. But hopefully someone won't mind helping me out.

I would really love to grab an Iron Man as my first collectible toy to kick things off. I know this went up for PO months ago, but what are my chances of getting the waitlisted exclusive to convert if I were to submit an order today? It looks like the regular version is still available, should I also drop a NRD on that? Or just wait it out and possibly have to take my chances on the secondary market?

I actually called customer service and the woman I spoke with said I have a 50/50 chance, seems a little too good to be true lol. So I figured I'd ask in here.

Any info is appreciated. Thanks!

You can order it now. There are two versions. The same. One comes with an extra head. That's the waitlist version. But if you want the figure you can get it. Same figure. Same base. It's like ordering a pair of AF1, two exact same kicks but one comes with a free gift and different box, other is just standard shoes. (I collect kicks too. J's and Af1)

Also, it is a 50/50 chance. Those are the only true odds in the world. As in yes/no. It either will or won't. I'm sure that's why they said it. But, remember, CS people do not always have unique info others do not. Last week when the mkvii stealth went up for order a guy from CS told people that he was 1000% sure the figure wouldn't sell out within a month. It sold out (well, went waitlist which is what he said it wouldn't do) in hours. Like ten minutes after that conversation.

I'd jump on the wait-list if you'd rather have the exclusive... There's usually a bunch of conversions after ssc gets them in hand, but If it doesn't convert the regular edition won't likely sell out right away and will likely be available cheaper on ebay for a bit.

Yes, unfortunately that sometimes doesn't happen until long after it's release.

No, not in any reasonable time. I'm still on the Golden Age Cap waitlist. It released like a year and a half ago.

How are they about refunding the NRD post release date? I don't want to be stuck with a pending waitlist item and not have the ability to cancel myself without losing my NRD. Essentially, how long does it usually take until they give "closure" on a waitlisted order?
