I can't say I'm blown away...it feels really a tad too much as the 42 but the execution is well done as with most IM hot toys releases. What really blew me away was the price, but thats another story and I knew it won't be cheap getting it from HK...but we're getting on ground where you could buy 1/4 pieces for the amount of money (not day one 1/4 pieces of course...they will cost a liver and a leg....the Mark 43 right off the first batch from HK will probably end up around 700). So i definately have to rethink my purchases, this is exceeding the limits even for me as a true IM fan. But maybe this review will help people to decide which route to go. For the moment I keep both 42 and 43...but I got a feeling that one needs to go soon.

I can't see paying that much more just to get it a little before others. That's just silly. 700 for a 350 figure for maybe a month of extra time. In six months what would you rather have...the 350 or the extra month of ownership? The extra month, or Hawkeye/black widow/cap/ultron mk1/mk3 dc...just saying...I can't see paying double the value for just a little early release.

Thanks for the great review! I have to say I'm a little disappointed in how dim the infested helmet's red LEDs seem. It really doesn't look that prominent. Overall, a great review, however!

It was 520 with Timcent and 30 for custom charges. EMS alone was 70 usd of 520 so youre looking at 450 usd of final final figure cost. Which is without a doub a big chunk on top for owning something bit earlierer.

But as european collector its not far away from SSC total costs because on this piece id probably have paid also around 490 total with taxes and fedex shipping. Soo all lucky you in the US who really can get this piece for 350 and bit on top for shipping.

Agreed. What people pay to be the "first ones" is truly mind blowing.

I'd much rather wait a year and support a local business/comic shop than throwing my money away like that. Bananas.

That's not what was in the post responded to. You/it said 700. Which is twice what the Ssc cost is. 390 more then Hong Kong/Japan Msrp. If it was 490 or 520 great. But that is not what the post said. I have no way of knowing the breakdown or what is this or that. I was simply responding to the 700 amount you posted.

I'm sure. He said he did in fact. I see people spend ten times what an item is worth, or even selling for in another auction.

I was just pointing out how silly I thought it was, and how much more you could get with it. If it where a year early. Or six months I could see spending a fair bit about retail/Msrp. But weeks...not so much. And either way, not twice the cost. That's more then the 1/4. Nearly Hulkbuster. Just doesn't seem worth it. It's not like your even first. Your buying it from the guys who where first. Heck for that much you could nearly buy a ticket to Hong Kong and get it yourself. Well maybe not. Lol

So at $400 DX Jack is a bargain especially when you take into consideration this Mk 43 hasn't released yet, will be wildly abundant from retailers globally, and can be had at retail/near retail cost for the next few months. Paying $700 is silly, but some people do have too much bloody money.

I've been eyeing that Jack Sparrow for a very long time yeah I can say DX Capt Jack is one of the best HT put out. I don't think any IM would come close to it except Hulkbuster in terms of overall effort put into it.

Im still happy about spending the extra ££ for the exclusive; the lights are a bit of a disappointment being dimmer than the white ones but I don't often use the lights in the figures I have and like that I have extra display options either lighted, or unlighted. I could use the damaged faceplate on the regular lighted helmet (assuming there are zero difference between the helmets) or as part of another display, with Ultron for example (assuming I pick one up)

I agree. Honestly, and this is borderline insane, I would get stressed out having the extra head as there is already a stark head with it. I wouldn't know what to display it with, and I wouldn't want the exclusive to just sit in the box. Then I would end up sitting it by the figure, but I want to try and display my Avengers in an action pose so it would just go to waste, and...AND..... yeah I'm a mess, but I'm totally fine with missing the ex.

It sounds like some are trying to cushion the blow of missing out on the ex and the extra head. I'll take the extras as I'm not paying a difference for the ex. Also the light could be dim on his particular one. Maybe the batteries were weak or it was just an individual case. I have seen photos with the red eyes headsculpt that have looked great.

I for one am glad for the option, think it is one of better ex bonuses they have given us actually.
