How are you keeping Toys head on, gravity, putty or something else?

I've decided to buy the MK43 now. I wasn't going to get another IM...but getting this figure at $280 US, I think I'm doing well with price. I was always in love with the 42/43 industrial design. Also I really like Ultron as a villain from the comics...so getting the Ultron torso is killing 2 birds with one stone. I was buzzing about getting the MK6...but having the MK3 already, I wanted something starkly different in design.

So getting 43 for 280 and trading SS IG88 for the MK3...pretty happy.

Where's the best place to buy this now online? I'm in the USA. How are people getting this for $280??? I can't even find one at original Retail Price!

All help appreciated. Thanks!

That's a good price!

I took all my hands out of storage in case some combination of the styrofoam/heat causes fading after my Iron Patriot hands started fading. So far my 43 hands are OK.

I only imagine anything on these would potentially fade over time if they're exposed to direct sunlight or extreme heat all day everyday.

Haha actually I paid 330 shipped in the end. That seller kinda screwed me over. I don't want to come out yet and say who but I'm getting my money back. And luckily another forum user sold me his exclusive 43 for 330 shipped.

God it's been a hassle but can't wait to receive this figure.

Unless it was exposed to sunlight or some acid, I don't see how they will fade.

They absolutely do, the fist and repulsor hands on the Mk 43 and Iron Patriot are a different kind of soft plastic than the articulated hands that fades even if left in the box. On the Patriot it is also the "salute hand". The gauntlets hold color though.

I still have my Patriot but I sold my 43 a long time ago, I noticed fading starting on its solid hands too. I never used any of those hands on display, so they were kept out of light in a cool place when this happened.

Is there a way to prevent or at least slow down the fading process? I just got Iron Patriot and do not want to have that problem.

Hey all, where's the best place to buy this now online? I'm in the USA. How are people getting this for $280??? I can't even find one at original Retail Price!

What price should I be looking to make a deal at?

All help appreciated. Thanks!

So this fading doesn't happen on the articulated hands?

Also, is it prevented by placing them outside the figure box??

The articulated hands still look like new, as do the gauntlet pieces on the hands that do fade. The articulated hands and gauntlet pieces are hard plastic, probably the same as the rest of the plastic on the figure, the solid hands are different though- its a slightly soft, flexible plastic. That is what is not holding the color. Its not sunlight, as mine were packed away. Mine were stored initially in the box it came in, so the styrofoam may be a contributing factor- I can't prove otherwise as I didn't store pieces in different places to compare. Probably the best bet is to keep them stored away in a different place than the original box, out of the light and heat, but I couldn't say that would prevent it in the long term.
