Semantics. SS referred to it as exclusive but ultimately it was marked "Special Edition" on the final product. I don't know how many were made vs the standard edition but that labeling may mean something to collectors.

The (rhetorical) question is how special can a special edition be if it keeps getting reissued?

I understand what you're saying, but it was never marketed as a limited edition, nor a numbered edition. So them making more isn't going back on what they sold originally.

One point of engineering that HT’s actually stopped including with their “newer” diecast releases were the pull down ankles. Yeah those are on the 42/43 & 45 but they eventually stopped using them. Those ankles were great for poses when you had the boots at an angle instead of basically just straight up.

Yeah.... After reading these threads, I decided to give mk43 to my dog as his chew toy. Lol

I love that they are releasing this figure again. The 42/43(I have both in 1/12 scale from Comicave) are my favorite suits besides the 47(which I foolishly procrastinated on buying and missed out on it) so I will definitely be preordering this figure to represent my one 1/6 scale Ironman suit in my collection.

Ah if only I knew and had my collection planned out the way I have now I'd have bought the Mark 45 at the time (it was one or the other) and I'd buy this one now for my Iron Man Avenger movie timeline display and put the 45 in my Age of Ultron Avenger lineup..

So I guess this guy's coming back now for the HB deluxe? I wasn't collecting when the Mk 43 first came out so it's tempting, but what's the general consensus on this one? How has he aged? Most of the Iron Mans I have now are ones released after Mk 46, which I seem to hear people saying are leaps and bounds past the earlier DC suits.

I love mine, and I love the design of the suit, but the paint app of the VI diecast just looks way better to me. I can't really talk about articulation as I don't really pose mine. (Ironically the 43 is the one Iron Man I have 'posed')

The new release should have come with the battle damaged parts from the 42 instead of the Ultron base, that would pair better with the Hulkbuster and differentiate it from the previous release.

The 43 is the only Iron Man armour I currently own and I think it looks great. Picked it up for $300AUD 3 years ago, this new release will end up at least $200 more.

I don't collect 1/4 scale, so really don't care whether the 1/6 is not as good. I would imagine 1/4 would always have more detail and accuracy due to the increased size. There just isn't the range of characters being released in that scale.

I owned the 43 but sold it to afford the mark 6 diecast... 6 was my favorite plus I wanted it to go with my warmachine mark 1 diecast. After losing out on hulkbuster I decided to get rid of 43. I loved the 43 so it worth it for me to buy it again! And to have it with the re release hulkbuster.. I don’t think the other newer iron man suits or leaps and bounds better then the 43. The only thing that was better was the articulation to move the shoulder pad up and down to make it a closer gap to the upper shoulder. Besides that it does all the same stuff, maybe not as high degree in elbow bend if I remember correctly. But I remember the silver parts looking really really cool in contrast to the red and gold.

I just started collecting this year and have had to buy a lot of older suits. I've decided not to collect the 43 and 42 because they don't look to be as good as the more recent ones I have. I'm particularly put off by the visible screws.

It's annoying because the 42 is obviously a major armour.

To be honest they now need to remake all the suits up to 45 as they're simply too small for the latest Tony head.

If anyone wanted to upgrade the 43 with the 46 head sculpt.

i have a question about the forearm rocket armor. Can you place that peace also on his left arm or just only on the right one?
