I was going to state which other MCU villains I want Hot Toys to make, but then I got lost in how many I want them to make.

I very much want this, but for that price I want the Gauntlet. I want more than 2 hands. I'd want an alternate head. At the very least. So I shall wait until Infinity War and hope that I can afford that version when it comes out.

I guess I can understand why people would rather wait, but the way I see it, the next version won't be out for a minimum of 3 years, maybe not towards the end of 2019. Thanos will get a good four years display time, and I'm not waiting that long to get one.

Agreed, and honestly with a figure this size you never know if HT will visit it again especially if initial sales on v1 are mediocre/poor.

It's so, so many years away I don't understand why waiting that long is a realistic option

It should be a no-brainer that this is just a placeholder until the definitive IW version comes out but like people said, why would you wait?

No one was saying in 2009 they were gonna wait for the die-cast MK 3 in 2015. We all got the original and V2 along the way, this will be no different:lol

But waiting also = saving money so as to actually be able to get the IW one. And when you know you will only be able to afford one, if at all, you gots to have the gauntlet, no?

As noted, there's no guarantee you'll get a version 2 Thanos and if HT does happen to do a version 2, there's no guarantee you'll get the gauntlet as an accessory. It's a dice roll either way really.

Also, you could be looking at a 4-5 year wait for another version by the time it hit your shelf, so that would be plenty of time to plan finances accordingly right? :huh

It's not like this Thanos is out this year and IW is out next year. Like I said before, I expect at least a four year wait between figures. My collection isn't going to be Thanos-free for that long.

I'm definitely waiting. $400 for a character that is sure to be made again and hasn't even done anything on screen yet? Not to mention the DC, civil war and Star Wars stuff all coming out? Yeah I'll wait on this one for sure

If your waiting becuase so much stuff is out, then I think you may be in trouble. Right now and for the last few years it has essentially be DC free. By the time IW drops DC (as planned so far) will be pushing out more movies then marvel..and marvel will be at its current pace still. With two more avengers movies loaded with twice the characters. Then there's spider-man. And the potential for xmen figures and deadpool that previous didn't exist due to fox and marvels issues, but with the F4 flop and fox wanting a TV series they will have to yield some rights. Factor in a blade reboot and others...going forward it looks a LOT more crowded.
