When someone says Green Lantern... I'm like Kyle Rayner... Sorry he's the 90's lantern and the one I know the most of :lol

I'm a fan of both universes. My top two favorite heroes come from Marvel and DC respectively: Cap and Supes.

Super Soldier ftw!

I like DC for Batman and Superman, they're my two favorites. However Marvel has far more interesting characters as a whole

Not anymore, they've lost all creativity and have just rehashed old stories.

Ps I'm apparently a bitter old man in the comic community

I refuse to acknowledge all these "new" versions of characters. Changing gender of established characters is just stupid. When I say they're more interesting I'm talking of the classic line ups with the real characters... Remember when Bruce Banner was the only Hulk? Now any random person can get that power it seems, lol

Well, it's not exactly changing the gender of established characters than more of a passing of a mantle. It's not like they race swapped Steve. All the characters you still love are around. Steve is still here, Thor, Hulk, etc. I'd honestly have a mantle passed down. Kamala Khan is probably one of the best things Marvel has done in the past few years though.

I like what DC started with their mantle passing. **** became Nightwing, that's fine. We still have a Robin in Tim. But I don't think it's a big deal unless you don't like the character that takes over.

It's kinda weird cause I don't see people bitching about the hundreds of Spider characters out there. Even within the 616 Universe. There are like 4 Spider-Men, 5 if you count Miles Morales in the new universe. 3 Spider-Women, 2 Spider-Girls, etc.

I complain about Spider-Man constantly. As creative as Bendis is, the whole Miles thing is just terrible to me. I get that I'm not the target audience for it but Marvel is absolutely shoehorning PC garbage down our throats. I buy almost 0 Marvel issues anymore and it's because of this nonsense.

I guess I'm just a traditionalist. Steve is Cap, Bruce is Hulk, Peter is the only Spidey, Thor Odinson is Thor, etc. I don't like it any other way... Comics have passed me by in recent years. I'm just hard headed I suppose.

I did like the story line for the new Thor but i'm not a traditionalist and i do not read very many comics. I can understand why hard diehard fans would get uspet with all the sudden changes.

If there is one thing that I've learned in my 35 or more years of reading comics it's this... Change is temporary. I no longer get upset about new costumes or a mantle being passed on because I know it isn't permanent. We've had several Cap, Hulks and Spideys over the years and the originals always come back. Don't sweat it.

:exactly: I agree but the problem is the publishers give interviews and say this IS the character not a new/temporary version so as to actually elicit anger from fans. I too usually ignore it all. It was only the introduction of the new female Thor that annoyed me as all the press stated this is "Thor" not "She-Thor". Which was absurd. If you take away his powers and hammer he's still Thor. It's his name not an alias or code name. It's OK to not call Rogers Captain America anymore cause that's a symbol or a code name. His real name IS Steve Rogers. He became cap. So the mantle of cap can be passed on. Thor's hammer could be passed on but the name shouldn't be. Give her a new name!! :)

Been working on a few photos of this guy. Here's one so far...
