1/6 Hot Toys - MMS281 - Avengers: AoU - Captain America Collectible Figure

Really is a great figure. This is my first human sculpt Hot Toys. I currently only have Stormtroopers and Stealth MK VII. Wow, the realism in hand is just scary. My wife was like "Holy crap that is just unreal, how do they do that?". I do think the left eye on mine is ever so slightly wonky, but ehh whatever. I can only almost detect it in close up straight on photos.

I also remember getting my first Hot Toys Jack Sparrow and shocked as well with lifelike realism HT sculpt. Its so scary

Yeah, this figure is basically the perfect movie Cap figure to me. I don't think I'll be buying another version of Cap any time soon - at least another suited up Cap, anyway.

The eyes look fine to me, in my opinion.

I unzipped the back to try and adjust the magnets, but the zipper wouldn't re zip properly.

That's not a defect I thought it had some manufacture issue.

Sparrow is still the best IMO. The one figure i will never sell.

I finally had time to open mine up. But I'm not too sure if I read it here that people had scuffs behind his helmet. Was it made like this?

Just checked the other helmet and has that marks too. Maybe I did read it here that it's made like this

Yeah, he's ok. Mine has it as well. Intentional to make the helmet look a little battle damaged.

Thanks for confirming. I love the magnetic shield. I thought I wanted to display him unmasked but now I can't decide. Lol

It's my favorite also. Before receiving him, I was certain I wanted to display him unmasked because the unmasked sculpt is phenomenal, but after seeing several pictures in this thread, I started leaning towards the masked/helmeted sculpt. Plus, it's my favorite Cap suit to date, so I want to display him in full gear.

Can't really go wrong either way though. Both sculpts are immaculate. Glad you're happy with him.

My favorite DC character is Batman and Marvel is Captain America.

I honestly thought we was gonna have only 1 Hot Toys Captain America back then, thought everyone was going crazy over Iron Man.

So did i but i have all of them but the star spangled version I have a custom in place of him. I only have more IM/Stark figures than Caps right now but he is catching up fast. I am trying not to get multiples of any others. I only need 1 Hulk, BW, Hawkeye, Falcon, GotG team, etc. Helps save money and space.

Happy that Hot Toys made all these Caps.

I actually have more IM than Cap figures and only my BD Mark 7 is displayed. I got Mark 1-7, Mark II with the surgical table, mech tech, armor test and War Machine Mark I. I didn't like any from the 3rd movie. But I'm thinking of getting Mark 43 or 45.

As for GOTG I was plan on getting the whole team but decided to only get Starlord, that helped me save money.

I'm glad to see people are still getting this guy, congrats as he is great to have. Whats really great i find is no matter how crappy a pic u take nothing can make this figure look bad. He's just that good. This is likely the only cap i will ever need.
