So I have a quick question. I'm currently about to start my collection. Star Lord will be the first of many, and he's arriving next week. However, I need display ideas that can benefit me long term. I currently have nowhere to display my figures and I plan to have 11 or 12 by the end of 2016. I have figures such as Hulk, HulkBuster, and Groot all preordered (plus others.) These are all very tall figures.
At first I thought a Detolf would be essential. Now I'm starting to rethink this as I'll be owning several tall figures. I want each displayed in glass. So my question is, what set up do you recommend? I'm so far thinking a Besta would be my best bet. But I also even thought a large enough fish tank would be great as well.
Just wanted everyone's suggestions before I made a purchase on my future display for my figures. Thanks for any suggestions.

They aren't allowed when they are used to troll. Often, that is what they are meant for.why are popcorn gifs forbidden on here? They would work so perfectly right now.
If you plan on having 11 or 12 figures, then you should plan on space for about 30 figures b/c you will snowball in this hobby guaranteed.
Also, if you plan on displaying large figs like Hulkbuster, Monger, Igor, then I'd look into Besta or PAX units and skip Detolfs entirely as your display space is limited with huge figures like these unless you plan on placing them on top of the Detolf units which you could do, but they won't be behind glass.
and we dont want to see anymore the 3 figures per shelf, thats a poor people ting
I just cleaned up a bunch of the condescension, bickering, and insults. Play nice or go elsewhere. Thanks.

Exactly what I was thinking. I'm thinking the PAX will be too big. The Besta might be the best thing for me since I'm looking at several figures above the normal 12 inch scale.
Those detolf shelves are adjustable though, if you don't mind losing a shelf. I think you just have to get some extra bolts or something. I have never dealt with detolfs myself as the nearest Ikea is 60 miles awaySo I have a quick question. I'm currently about to start my collection. Good idea. I like how it looks. I had turtles a few years ago and kept them in this big tank. If I still had that I would totally use it, it could have maybe fit Hulkbuster plus the rest of the AOU lineI would still get a detolf because they are a great way to display them. The fish tank idea is a very good one. I built my own case and plan on using it for an AoU diorama
Absolutely.... they seem to pile up quickIt really depends on the size of the room, the size of your collection and how you wish to display it. PAX are huge, but you'd be shocked how fast you acquire figs in this hobby. IKEA used to offer BILLY bookcases that were 15 inches deep that are another good option you could look into.

Thanks for all the suggestions, everyone. This truly helps me out a ton!
I am starting to think a fish tank with a cabinet would be a great set up. Use the cabinet space to house all my Marvel and DC blurays. Then if possible, grabbing a Detolf or Besta down the road when I'll end up getting more figures. Lol
It's just really difficult with these larger figures coming out that are must owns (as far as I'm concerned haha.) Makes a new collector run into some problems when deciding how to go about buying display cases when your figures range from 6 inches (Rocket) to 22 inches (HB).
Feel free to keep the siggestions coming. I'm by no means decided, and I'm definitely not interested in making my place look like a virgin's paradise.
