After watching the movie this is no way near how much they're asking for

Neither are midas or python or most iron man variants. At least warmachine appears on screen.

Well then, maybe if I could somehow cover up the red around the eyes and arc reactor then the IM3 version would make a close enough stand-in. Would definitely save me a lot of money. But what would be the easiest way to accomplish that without permanently altering the figure?

At least they handled WM better than they did in Iron Man 3

He was bad*** in the scene that he was in, but of course, still not at the level of WM Mk I in Iron Man 2

Considering Rhodes was shown to have become one of Caps new Avengers and he is due to appear in Civil War its going to be interesting to see whos side he ends up on; He may be Tony's best friend but that doesn't mean he wouldn't back Cap if he feels Tony is in the wrong. Either way by the rumours around WM is very similar again in CW so Im probably going to wait for him next year.

I think WM may end up with Cap, could go either way but he's been shown to disapprove with of Tony's attitude, motives and actions... plus WM on Stark's side makes it pointless for Tony to suit up, WM on Cap's side makes a good excuse to see Tony and Rhodes go toe to toe like IM2 just this time both in control and both trying to break the other guy.

Someone has to be on Stark's side though, currently I am assuming Cap will have most of the Avengers team apart from possibly Rhodey and the Vision (who may try to stay neutral) he cant rely on an Iron Legion as AoU showed how easily they are beaten unless he developed models specifically to fight a certain Avenger.

Im sure we will find out some hints in the coming months... and this is probably bet saved for that conversation.

Im mainly doing it as this discussion states that WM survives and joins the team (wonder if the suit will loose the USAF markings by CW) and doesn't bite it, something which casting information published on most CW articles states anyway

Rhodey and Rogers are both military men... and they both seem to disagree with some aspects of their government (Rhodey in IM2 and the handling of the Mk2 armor) and Cap in WS and SHIELD, but who knows....

If he sides with cap he goes to prison. Active duty military can not refuse a presidential order or law or even orders. If the registration act is part of CW like rumored to be, rhodey either resigns and has no suit, or sides with the government. The fact he is military, and active duty, still working for the military, I have a hard time believing he goes with Cap.

In drawing parallels, the IM3 version is like the MILK version of the Mk1, the one you don't see in the films and has a sharper contrast between the colors.

If the AoU version has some good screen time and has an awesome scene in the film, and isn't like a minute cameo and then disappears, I actually might consider it... Hopefully it won't sell it because I won't be able to watch the film for another 3 weeks or so.

Unfortunately, WM doesn't get a lot of screen time. It is an Avengers movie, after all. It does look cool, however.
