I remember when AoU Cap was shown on one of the "coming soon" pics, and he looked rather skinny so people once again feared the Stealth Cap syndrome. Once released, however, it was close to the prototype... so they might not always be final product in those pics, I dunno.

Is there a code that works on this atm? And is the $20 off even a plus when BBTS charges you $5 for shipping and no NRD?

How much is SSC charging now for shipping on normal box sized toys? Some Californians even say that they get charged $20 sometimes, probably a bit less or more, I don't remember.

I don't really care about RP, since I rarely buy anything anyway, and flex isn't even a a thing I'll ever consider. Will SSC be cheaper even with the coupon?

If you don't care about reward points or exclusives there isn't much reason to buy from sideshow. I live in the Midwest and often times the $20 coupon doesn't even cover shipping. Their domestic shipping rates are way out of line, they ship for profit now. You will probably get your order about 2-4 weeks faster from sideshow because they get everything first. Their customer service has become difficult to deal with too depending on the situation. I still occasionally order from sideshow, but I try to use bbts or timewalker toys when I can. There is not an active code for July right now, but there probably will be one coming soon.

Just because people freak out doesn't mean that the figure in the pics isn't the final version/production version.

that close to the actual release of a figure there's really no reason for them to use a prototype when they have lots of production figures complete. Less then 30 days from the release of a figure not only will they have nearly the entire production run completed but will have multiple production samples. Those come months ahead of time. The Knightmare Batman production samples where done months ago for example. (I posted pictures of it)

Re: Possible Hot Toys DC TV license?

Not 100% sure either but everyone on the superman page thought it was. I think there was torches and pitchforks coming out of my monitor when that picture was released :lol

But dude...it WAS the MoS sculpt. It's not up for debate to be brutally honest.

I was one of those with the torches and pitchforks, and I'll PROUDLY admit when I raged out. But in our defense, something like this never happened before. Nearing release, every show (after the initial reveal) up to that point had the MoS sculpt, for the first time ever in their upcoming release photos they showed the old MoS sculpt. Do people honestly think no one was gonna notice and or nerd rage?

After this incident, The one thing to take away from it Is that any upcoming release photos may or may not feature a Proto. The case with deadpool can very well be another repeat of the BvS superman.

You'd seriously have to be officially blind not to see that it was the MOS sculpt. It would've been amazingly funny if they ended up shipping the new one with it though. Oh, what could've been.

Some one ****ed up on that photo-shoot, but at the end they shipped the right one.

Agreed. The main point here is to illustrate that future upcoming release pics may or not feature a Proto.

I can't wait for this figure.

I was gunna say...that looks amazing, but it also appears to be the old material. Really wish they would have stuck with the original stuff. I know articulation is a concern, but to be honest he doesn't really need to do much more than he's doing in that photo.
