Sadly, I'm screwed. I paid with a combination of rp and gift cards. Otherwise I'd shove this thing up hot toys @$$ before it became a deteriorated mess. Deadpool would not be happy about this.

:idea I think hot toys knew about this beforehand and tried to maybe replace it with this prototype suit but then they saw the negative reactions it was getting (and rightly so because it looked hideous) and decided to stick to the original design people wanted. In essence they sacrificed longevity for unlimited articulation. That's my theory tho, so take it with a grain of salt.:dunno

Pretty sure that figure has the same fabric that was used for the final version. Could be though.

People might be able to pick up the fig cheap on eBay or somewhere now that faults have been noticed. The people I feel sorry for are the suckers who dived head first & got the fig early doors i.e. Me. :gah:

If the problem is as bad as some of us fear (which I'm not saying it is at this point becuz its still early), do you think after getting the figure in hand- we should voice our concern/disappointment to the HT fb page? If there was enough backlash would they do anything? I know they've ignored widespread problems before but situations like the Mk 42 shoulder make me think they can* be willing to fix issues :\

What was the problem with the Hot Toys Mk 42? I have one and didn't realize there was an issue.

If I remember right, the socket that the ball joint fit into was cracking or something when people tried to articulate the arm. Hot Toys changed out the piece for a different one for the second batch that shipped to Sideshow. It was a while ago, so I'm not 100% on that, but the fact is they fixed it, and the fix worked.

I can deal with a little fraying around the wrist.. But if it's prone to expanding, and occurring around the joints and stuff, that I wouldn't be too happy about.

I think I'm going to keep my preorder.. If these problems are really prevalent, I can't imagine nothing being done about it. Whether it's an exchange for an updated version or a refund, I can't see them (sideshow) not doing anything about it.

I guess we'll see. It's rather disappointing especially considering how long the wait has felt.

At least (for me) disco and ultron mk 1 should be shipping out within the next month or two.

Maybe we should ask sideshow now to see what they have to say, maybe it'll put some of us at ease.

HT very rarely does anything with QC problems and all sideshow can say is you have 30 days to return it if you are not happy after that we are mostly SOL.

Good thing I change wrists the once and leave it at that... going to have think hard about the pose to use..

I keep one pose for years and dont change hands so I should be OK, Ill just treat the pleather once I get it to prevent crackig

When I get this figure I'll make sure I pose dynamically every week, that's the main reason I'm buying him. If something bad happens, oh well. :lol

That's what I was thinking. Just come up with a pose you can live with and leave him that way. Anything else and you risk damaging it.

Noty seeing a problem around the wrist area myself. Keep it tucked in behind the joint and it looks like it's working as intended.

I'm really concerned about this figure... First time I'm thinking about cancelling a pre-order. But I already paid 55 EUR of the 250 EUR and I'm not getting that back when I cancel... 1 month to think about it I guess.

I will still keep both mine preordered. I've waited to long for this figure. The only alternative is a tony mei custom and his dead pool is pretty expensive:)

Give it time guys let the pros figure out a solution like clear shoe goo etc and until then treat it like a delicate collectible.

These are now sold out on sideshow and bbts think hard before you cancel him because getting another might not be to easy..
