Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS - Terminator Genisys: Endoskeleton Collectible Figure

What if this were a proper T-800 endo?

if it was the proper T800 I would still pass. Even if it cost $220. Not a product to get me out of HT retirement. Funny thing is a HT Lando Skiff Guard might

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS - Terminator Genisys: Endoskeleton Collectible Figure

Genisys was a HUGE hit in China. That country alone basically saved the movie. It makes sense the did this. I'm not sure how big T1 and T2 was in China. I like the T800 Guardian. I'll get it if it goes on sale somewhere and I'll do a custom Arnold. I wanted to get this, I know all my friends and my kids would love it, right up until they found out it was from Genisys. That would be the end of that figure

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS - Terminator Genisys: Endoskeleton Collectible Figure

meh i don't care if its not from termy 1 or 2. Its an endo in 1/6th and the design is awesome on it. Honestly most normal people can't spot the difference between this endo and the terminator or terminator 2 endos anyway. There just like ' oh cool thats the robot from terminator ' and thats enough for me to be honest.

Definitely picking it up because i don't think ht will be making any more endos soon and they definitely won't be making a 1/6th scale endo from the terminator in the foreseeable future given they are releasing this.

Anyways Looks like the family truckster is out the window now lol.

thought about purchasing.
then looked at my shelf.
don't need it anymore.
original design is too natural proportionally, though without chrome.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS - Terminator Genisys: Endoskeleton Collectible Figure

Yep P. you dont need this one. You already have plenty of endo in your life. I will definitely be getting this guy. I need to get a T-800 endo and this guy will fit the bill for me. Plus I like the Bigazz gun.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS - Terminator Genisys: Endoskeleton Collectible Figure

Looks good, but don't need this in my collection, only T1 T2 for me.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS - Terminator Genisys: Endoskeleton Collectible Figure

I am will get this, but I really would have preferred a T2 endo 1/6 diecast. This design isn't horrible IMO, but doesn't hold a candle to the T1/T2 designs!

How many terminator figures do you own P.?

I don't think I've ever seen anybody showing that many poses and iconic scenes with figures...

You and a-dev must be the biggest fans (I know of) of terminator. I'm not making fun of you, or anything like that. I'm honestly curious.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS - Terminator Genisys: Endoskeleton Collectible Figure

The huge gun gives it away.

Anyway, I don't collect to please 'normal people'.

I dislike the teeth. :horse

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS - Terminator Genisys: Endoskeleton Collectible Figure

Very odd for them to release this after the negative reaction towards Genisys, especially now that the hype has died down. But on the other hand I'm sure Hot Toys will make a profit off of this. Robots and things of that nature are extremely popular in China. And don't get me wrong it's still a neat looking figure. Shiny chrome finish, red LED eyes, super articulated, and a pretty cool rifle.

i doubt it is actually chrome, because from the official spec., its "-Specially applied multiple layers of metallic paint on skeleton
with weathering effects". whereas from the copper chrome version stromtrooper, it said "-Specially applied shiny copper chrome
painted armor" they are different obviously.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS - Terminator Genisys: Endoskeleton Collectible Figure

I love the original T1, but this one is a worthy successor and this looks fantastic! Especially that badass beam weapon.

Hot Toys please give us the Terminator 3 T-X Terminatrix too. That would be even more fantastic.

:)
if you ask about T-800s strictly, currently the T1/T2 collection includes 25 Schwarzenegger terminators (including biker terminators, which i am proud of because i haven't seen both bikes in one collection before :) though the T1 bike is unfinished because i have to chrome some parts that were chrome on T1 bike instead of painted on a regular Honda) and 2,5 endoskeletons, you saw them on the photos. plus humans, T-1000s, future terminators.

as far as i know, a-dev has a wider collection plus a lot more humans, he even said that it's impossible even to put them in one place to make a photo. and that's only 1/6, but he also started collecting Neca heavily.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS - Terminator Genisys: Endoskeleton Collectible Figure

Bought. Not having an endo a gaping whole in my collection. I do not think Hot Toys will be doing a T1/T2. This one is close enough for me, especially if the chrome paint in the promo pictures looks as good on the production piece.

It looks chrome to me, same as their 1/4.

Did anyone notice this in the description?

In Terminator: Genisys, Judgment Day has arrived and more than 30 billion human lives have been lost in the attacks by Skynet. Survivors were captured and put into camps for extermination. In 2029, Human Resistance leader John Connor has led a final intense battle against Skynet and its menacing armies of Endoskeletons in order to eliminate the hellish artificial intelligence.

Sideshow and Hot Toys are pleased to officially present the new sixth scale Endoskeleton Collectible Figure from Terminator: Genisys.

The Endoskeleton collectible figure is specially crafted based on the image of the terrifying robot from the film. It features the character’s complicated mechanical details throughout the body, multiple layers of metallic paint on the skeleton with weathering effects, LED light-up eyes, a detailed Endorifle, and figure stand.

This new Endoskeleton collectible figure will be a great addition to any Terminator collection!

:lol

If I do end up getting this I will use my BD t-800 terminator 2 the metal rod that comes with that and use it for the endo to hold instead of that awkward rifle. Wish it came with the regular plasma rifle.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS - Terminator Genisys: Endoskeleton Collectible Figure

I have a feeling that we're going to see something for the 25th anniversary of T2 (July). So probably something closer to July or in July. Well, I hope I'm right lol.

Don't get your hopes up, anniversaries are too logical for HT. :lol

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS - Terminator Genisys: Endoskeleton Collectible Figure

i find it hard to fight the wish to purchase this, due to its engineering close to original skeleton (unlike HT variant), and am really happy for all those for whom this will be their first skeleton, because they'll see a little touch of Cameron's engineering from the start.
